Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

yeah ik

He doesn’t work at gaijin anymore.

And seems like there is a serious possibility that the premium one is going to be better a CAS plane than the 14.0 TT one.

Surely surprise J10C on the Dev stream! Yes I am indeed coping hard.

My understanding is that Gaijin is saying Mach 3 speed is for a 64km target that is coming inside of the missile employment zone, and will get struck at 40km. Not that the missile is going Mach 3 in order to hit the target at 64km away.

Aw what

Nuh-uh.
It’s British, that’s a no-no

@Smin1080p_WT from the devblog, it is stated F/A-18 Early (Australia) at a glance can carry AIM-7P, but then later in the devblog it says that this version features 9Ls, and AIM-7M/F; no mention on the P version AND stated to be less BR than the CF-188A; could this be a mistake on the “At a glance”? ty

it depends, it could be that they just mentioned the armament that differs from the other planes so they don’t repeat themselves? we’ll find out later today anyways

I think gaijin just says that it reaches mach 3 in game, therefore it is good enough

my understanding is of Deihl who wouldnt list mach 3 capability if the target (and henceforth the trajectory of the missile) is beyond the missiles maximum range.

in real life, there is no confirmation that the target will enter the engagement zone, hence the missile isnt fired until it is!
(obv)

so why would it be mach 3 capable but only if the target isnt in range

Please give it a break. Your opinion has been made clear. Spamming the topic and over isnt going to help anything.

More British vehciles are on the way, both this update and the following.

For now, the Hornets that were requested can be enjoyed by those that wanted to see them.

That is exactly what they are saying. Number hit, so where problem?

My guess is that they meant the late RAAF Hornet, not the early one.

Gaijin is saying that is capable of reaching Mach 3 in a plausible realistic scenario. Typically Mach 3 speed in a certain climbing trajectory is what you would want in order to maximize the range of the missile so to hit a target at 40km.

UK is lacking in top-tier jets department so Commonwealth Hornets are supposed to help with that. Premium one is a side-addition basically, as we were working on models anyway.

Its the late one.

I’d say it’s pretty likely. They also didn’t answer when I asked if they ever strapped an SLM to a Eurofighter :(
