GR4 is way lower BR than anything that has carried GBU-53’s. It’s like comparing F-100D to F-4E

The A-10C is also slower than many WW2 props. This is about GBU-53’s too

The ONLY option for anything even close to GBU-39s is Spear-3s.
If there was anything weaker, then Id suggest that.

I ask for MMW Brimstone 1s or SAL Brimstone 2s, you ask for GBU-53s.

AGM-65 can maybe do mach 1. Top speed for hellfires and Brimstones (from google) is mach 1.3 which is well into supersonic
For maybe the first few seconds. then they drop off to well and truly subsonic speeds the moment the motor stops burning.

But 30km glide bombs vs 30km glide bombs (that hit their target a little faster) is so massively OP that its unacceptable?
The range of SPEAR 3 is higher, and the biggest advantage is that you don’t need to gain altitude to reach the useful range, unlike a normal glide bomb. You can hug terrain and then pop up 50km away, shoot, and turn back

Range is totally irrevelant. The maximum lock range on the TPod is 30km. The maximum range you could employ them against anything other than a CCRP target is 30km.
Id have no issue with a hard range limit to mitigate people exploiting them in ASB against the AF like the F-15Es already do with GBU-39s. (say, cap the Spear-3s to 40km) they wont be of any use vs bases like the Grom-1s were either.
This is such a minor advantage for a GPS guided weapon and would it be so bad for aircraft that have 0 FnF AGMs to have a single advantage with their GPS weapon?
Remember the Typhoon carries neither AGM-65s or AGM-130?

So 30km away then, I doubt an aircraft with GBU-53 that was hugging terrain could hit a 30km drop. That’s a pretty big advantage
