Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

Yeah looking at the lobby with 8 of 16 teammate being single vehicle prem T80 + squadron SU33 isn’t exactly a pleasant situation

I had a squad of 2 level 40’s with T80UD prems and both Su-34 and Su-30 😭

Id say its because of its multirole alone and legacy BR’s additionally you move it down to like 11.0 and im gonna eat all the 10.0’s lol. Its a solid vehicle if it fits your playstyle, i use it as a support where i push with MBT’s or i camp on a hill and snipe (kinda annoying considering the smoke…)

Honestly just add them and make them function like PARS, IR guided only.

Actually that’d be ideal because if it had to use the radar, you wouldn’t be able to use it effectively anyway. Anyone that has used the Apache radar can attest that you can’t use it to properly target select anyway. You’d be teamkilling more than actually hitting enemies through smoke, similar reasons to why the brimstone is laser only right now.

There is 0 reason to assume MMW brimstones would come without GBU-53s, and their dramatically better carriage capacity.

I mean they are adding IIR JAGM-MR so the AH-64E is getting FnF

GBU-53s should be added with Spear-3s.

I will say also, I look forward to the Oplot. I’ve always like the T-series tanks and thought they looked cool, but didn’t want to grind the RU tree for it yet. Now I can use one in the Japanese line so that’ll be interesting.

I’m more speaking for the other apache’s too. For example, the longbow is basically the only hope of Japan getting some FnF munitions unless we get one through a sub-tree addition at some point.

This is the tired argument made by morons that have stuck their head in the sand every time multi spectral(chaff) smoke is brought up. It’s been proven they exist and it would literally be no different than modelling MMW munitions as IIR and a blanket “above X BR all smokes are multi-spectral”

Yep, this is what I mean. People can hate MMW all they want. But it has to come eventually, in some form or another. Probably sooner rather than later. The status quo cant remain forever

Technically Brimstones are immune to it. At least there are docs for it being immune to countermeasures and thats the only CM that really makes sense.

But no one would have issue with it being affected by said smoke. Which would still leave KH-38MTs far more effective against anything smoking

Not really. Active RF jamming is more likely what they are referencing.

Maybe, you’d have to check with Gunjob hes got the docs. but its irrelevant anyway. Id have no issue with Brimstones basically being C&P AGM-65 IIR seekers. Just give them like a 50m capture radius for the seeker when fired on IOG

Cool you would still go back to complaining that the BRU-61 is OP because the stored capacity of GBU-53s is dramatically better than your missile “the UK can’t even manage to meaningfully produce” - British Intel Officers words not mine.

When you really think about it, SPEAR 3 should be added with a powered version of GBU-53 (confirmed to be in development, just like SPEAR 3)

18x Brimstones vs what 20? 24? GBU-39s is still more balanced than 3x PGMs or 6-8 PW4s vs 20-24 GBU-39s we currently have.

Whats that got to do with the price of bread? And they arent struggling to make them at all.

  1. Currently artificially limited for “some reason”

Probably that reason is that they are actually kinda OP in gamemodes like ASB.

But still 3-8 vs 28 or 18 vs 28

Hmm… I wonder what is more balanced?

Especially as Brimstones would work against the Convoys and that is one target the GBU-39s cant handle.

They went from 2025 to 2030s for IOC

So they should come with 28x GBU-53?
