Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

Yeah…

probably why they went that route.

Still, SAL Brimstone 2s would be more than enough, but im sure Id get accused of wanting OP stuff even if I just asked for ePaveway IIs and EGBU-24s for the Typhoon

Yeah i feel you pain. Gajin thinks it’s to op with MMW cause it can go right through smokes and other stuff

would the belgian ocu get amrams?

About time the hellfires got replaced. And don’t forget, the AH-64E can use SPIKE NLOS with 30km seeker and 50km missile range. So right now, I think they got a good balance between new stuff and maintaining balance

yeah, for only one naiton though by the looks of things.

Sweden, Britain and Japan are still screwed to no helis.

They won’t add the spike NLOS yet it’s to op

US buff? Impossible

The Irony is that I had an AGM-65B (or whatever AGM the Hunter F58 has) track me through smoke yesterday.

That’s impossible… an agm65 actually hitting something???

We absolutely do not need MMW CAS in WT.
FnF on helis already is problematic as hell, we don’t need it to also not have a proper counter in form of smokes.

Oh yeah for sure, it does only go like 220m/s though so it would take forever to hit at 30km out, let alone 50

They should give JAGM-MR to the AH-1Z as well.

MMW… maybe… I think there are a million options to mitigate it. From just giving them IR seekrs to making smoke work against them and requiring LOBL. If nothing else. They are looooong overdue to air modes and be restricted from ground modes

But come on. Seriosuly, SAL Brimstone 2s would be game breakingly OP?

The Longbow mast radar is primarily needed for:
rapid detection and tracking of armored vehicles (tanks, infantry fighting vehicles),
issuing target designation for AGM-114L Hellfire Longbow launches (with active radar homing head).
But the AH-64E without a radar can still use all modern CAS (close air support) class missiles:
AGM-114R Hellfire II (universal, laser homing head)
AGM-179 JAGM (Joint Air-to-Ground Missile) is the newest missile, already being created on the AH-64E. It has a three-channel search: laser + IR + radar, and it does not need a radar on the mast - everything is built into the missile itself.

We’ll know in less than a day.

Usa finally gets a buff for their helis which they were in dire need of and with the new anti airs we will have even more problems

And LDIRCM, and AIM-9X-2’s, and maybe even the modified Longbow radar pod

Sweden heli’s simply wont get better, thats just a fact, which means they need better air as a whole as they lack the ability to get better missiles. The AHS is simply too old to warrant new munitions unlike the AH 64D on Japan which can get new missiles or helicopters from Thailand though im not sure what they have. Realistically its just Britain that doesn’t have them yet which im sure you’ll be fine with once they have something because it wont be a problem anymore.
