The only photos we have of the tank & ammunition is of an exercise where 3BM15 was being fired, doesn’t realise mean anything though, 3BM15 was dirt cheap before the current “interesting times”

Yeah it could get DTC10-125, it should be backwards compatible with older guns and is in Thai inventory. But since it’s Gaijin we never know.
It likely can, there’s just no proof it’s actually being used with the Oplot

doesnt dtc10 have the same issue as svinets where its too long for the old autoloaders
If I were gaijin I’d just give it DTC 10 as a balancing decision tbh

no idea i dont pay as much attention as i should to chinese tanks. just speaking from what makes sense to me, since it would need to be longer to get the penetration it has i think

How long is DTC10? 680–700? If so it wouldn’t fit in the autoloader unless I’m mistaken on which kind of autoloader the Oplot has.

honestly I see the Oplot just being a T-80BVM with a better reverse gear and not much else. which isnt bad mind but i think people are going to overhype this thing into being something its not.

Honestly i think your under selling it. The ability to reverse at 20kph will make them far more annoying in close quarters. Gaijin has the chance to add the T72 FIN MOD 2 with 22kph and a better engine and it will.most definitely need to go up in BR because it will be one of the stronger close in fighters.
A T80BV equivalent with better mobility is gonna be a proper menace for so many close quarters maps. Also helps give japan more than 2 12.0 mbts, until the type 90s go up again…
yeah it gets a reverse gear big whoop, it now has something every other nation at top tier does. nothing to write home about. Its still going to play almost exactly the same as any other T-80 at the end of the day.
I was wrong, the brochure says it just uses 9M317ME which is SARH (the export version).
The mix-up was that the forum where i first got the brochure from had someone asking if the ME version was ARH, but someone else posted a site where it says that the M is SARH and that only MA is ARH.
