Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

Is there a chance for a teaser tomorrow or on Monday? What do you think?

Yeah, latest one was 21:41 UTC per the spreadsheet, which would be in about 15 minutes time, but that was during December, i.e. not during daylight savings, so it feels unlikely they’d post a teaser so late in the day Europe time.

If there is evidence to suggest something is incorrect about the American version when it comes, then as mentioned previously, a report is welcome. But for now, both the US and Thai versions are just the Stingray.

i ate it mb bro, got hungry

We have this as a remembrance occasion. Not an event: Armistice Day: Remembering Those Who Fell

Not impossible, there’s been teasers on every day of the working week, it’s just Thursday is by far the most common (75% of all teasers were released on a Thursday, compared to ~8% each for Monday/Tuesday or ~4% for Wednesday/Friday)

None currently to speak of at this moment in time.

are there plans to finally fix some of the SPAAs from last update and give them their missing features? some of the bug reports are as old as the first leviathans dev server yet nothing happened

Hey. The vast majority of reports have been actioned since the Leviathans Dev Server.

There are no “plans” really to speak of, simply, as with all vehicles (as there is no difference here), the remaining reports will be investigated and actioned.

omg the J35XS gets the AIM 26B???
PLEASEEEE
this is copium

He asks if those two Stingrays will have cosmetic differences in model level, not just skin level

Because Italy did not bring enough money for some period. That is my explanation.

Sure there is a Palmaria too but Gaijin implemented Celere Sahariano as a premium while a mid Stuart as a TT vehicle. Both at same BR. Originality is irrelevant and out of their minds

They certainly were not. I am only taking the Tan-SAM kai as an example here, but SPYDER is the same story, actually even worse. Three months passed since Leviathans went live and the only change the Tan-SAM kai got was the launchers firing at a bit of an angle, and even that was executed poorly. The most important things like giving the IR missile its missing UTDC, or IOG+DL (effectively LOAL) were not even touched. Something being accepted means absolutely nothing for War Thunder, it just means that the suggestion moderators reviewed the sources and claimed it sourced properly for consideration, not that it will ever be considered or even implemented.

This is not a matter of some cosmetic errors or other things of very little impact on the gameplay, these severely impact the performance of a given vehicle. It is absolutely beyond me how it went below the devs radar for so long.

I’d actually take this back, as the two hulls I identified as first and second prototype turned out to be the first prototype at different points in time and mounting different turrets.

So that means I’ll need to look into the the second prototype to find confirmed images.

I did find at least one written source though stating that it was allegedly completed to “production drawings” in 1986, meaning whatever this tank looks like seems appropriate for a US production variant.

Quote

Note this was still a prototype completed the year before the Thai order was placed, and still doesn’t mean this tank was the exact same as the Thai version

There was also this image attached which shows a different configuration, using the prototypes LFP mounting points, but also square mirrors instead of the usual round ones and the machine gun mount in the same position as the production tanks.
If this is the second prototype that would mean there’s still some small differences to the Thai version I could then report, though it’s worth noting this could still just be the first prototype at a later point in time.

Anyways I’ll go correct some Stingray stuff I wrote on here with this new found information so people don’t start to believe stuff that’s wrong… I should really stop writing these things while researching instead of after…

I’ll also not write about the Stingray on the forum until I can definitively say what the first and second prototypes of the Stingray were

Leave out beans on toast and I agree

Im afraid that’s just not correct or accurate. As I said, the majority have actually been fixed or resolved, with those still open being in the minority. Many of which are suggestions and not bugs.

The Spyder has 53 resolved / fixed reports to 9 open
The Tan-SAM Kai has 40 resolved / fixed and 12 open

Who the hell put beans on toast on a full English ?
