Doesn’t stop them from overrating the F/A-18C in the current meta. Have you seen the thoughts of some German mains on this forum about the Hornet?
They seem to think it’s some great aircraft that will save them by being incredible at CAS. Hell I’ve seen some of them argue that it’s better than the EFT because it can carry 10x amraam.

Maybe. I’m not trying to argue for that though. Top-tier should have as minimal blending as possible. If the nation has variants of an original design, that should be the priority and US based airframes should be used in the rarest of cases like Japan and Israel.
