Why not? It’s clear that the naval team is really small (assuming it is more than the intern and stray cat he found). And the naval content for most updates tends to be one new ship and a coupe of copy-pastes with little to no gameplay changes. And since Gaijin outsources most of their models nowadays, its not surprising at all that they’d save up a new tier of ships for a single big update the way they’ve done air or ground.
And that could be why Russia been getting British ships lately, at least now we have a finger to point at someone lol
WT players complaining about an update? Insanity!
It always blows my mind that so many players think the game revolves around them. I almost never get disappointed by a new vehicle even if I don’t plan to play it, because I know someone out there has been waiting for it to come.
Stop it : (
Its very true. Behind every vehicle, there is always someone who has been waiting for it for a long time and happy to see it :)
First of all, i’m not complaining about an update.
Secondly, i’m adressing a genuine concern if they really have locked, specialized teams behind certain areas of the game because, if you carefully follow the dripfeed, the amount of content between the different areas of the game doesn’t quite add up in such consistency to achieve that conclusion at all.
Last, i’m glad that naval players got some love, but i’m not overlooking that they’ve been consistently asking for some refurbishment on their core gameplay, and the new content might overshadow their requests.
I imagine statistically, probably like <0.1% of the playerbase would ever actually own Spyder, but since the leak, every ISR vehicle discussion thread has that tiny % bouncing in anticipation lmao.
No matter how good or needed the SPAA additions are, they are still vehicles that most casual people don’t know much about irl, with very little intense gameplay that will mostly just sit back from the action not doing much.
So yeah, good luck hyping that up for the casual or even new players. What sounds cooler in an ad that random people (that haven’t played WT before) see on youtube for example:
“In the latest update we have added a whole bunch of new vehicles from the T-72B3A to the F-2A to iconic ww2 battleships like the Yamato, Iowa and Bismarck.”
or
“In the latest update we have added a whole bunch of new vehicles from the T-72B3A to the F-2A to SAM systems like the IRIS-T SLM, Spyder AiO and CS/SA5.”
we both know which names will ring a bell to more people and thus attract more potential people.
Python-4 was never bought or adopted into service for the aussie hornets the ASRAAM won the duel because of being way more superior compared with the Python-4.
If so, I will enjoy using the Aim-152 AAAM on the F-14D.
you wouldn’t want an electrician doing a pier and beam foundation job for certain devs.
i agree about players wanting a lot of reurbishment core gameplay but it just funny how long it all takes, and then the disregard of what the community wants, its feels like a standpoint of what the game needs to be using this year regardless of the smallest crowd asking for more than a crumb once in a while, its far less then a drip feed, feeding requires small consistent naval doesn’t have that…
it gets what it gets, and adjustments after years of asking, there has been some times that there has been actual adjustments within a reasonable time frame, but the majority of it is waiting.
Option 2 sounds much better for me since I only play warthunder for the modern stuff anyways 🤷
there will be a “the R-27EA may not actually exist” thread
kinda sad that 38mt thread got closed
they succeed their goals to close the thread
i am gonna wait until the update, the leaks say they gonna get worked on
after that we can always complain about it getting opened again
