Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

its all fun and games till someone brings out the M45

war thunder assumes all armor, and everything “just worked”, and there is no debuffs even if the nation couldn’t do X, its something that they should introduce into naval, not all armor is created equally, especially for battleships, and the amount required to build it.

Specifically, naval ships.

Yeah the Soyuz is very along the lines of “hey guys we could TOTALLY do this if we knew how, 100%!!”

I will need to take a look at the ships in the Dev Server!

So far, this is how Iowa and Bismarck’s armor potentially would look like. So far, I am leaning towards Bismarck; but depending on Iowa’s ammo location and other things (which I am not sure to have got entirely correct), Iowa may turn out better than I expected!

they had that for tanks at one point but they removed it, no idea why though

just having actual armor strengths depending on nation and year could absolutely change the balance of naval… but everything is created equally, all metal even if its “advanced” materials/created.

instresting thank you

Is the vanguard more likely to be under the Rodney or the Warspite?, I’m guessing Warspite

The reason more people don’t play naval isn’t because we don’t have the famous ships, but because it’s a fundamentally flawed gamemode. Adding shiny pixel boats won’t change the fact you’re still gonna sit in spawn and fling rounds across the map into the other spawn, and that the gameplay revolves around left-clicking every once in a while.

It would be very interesting to play with this monsters in a big map like Jutland Event.

they had like a small debuff for like tanks a while ago,

i forget if they ever had it on ships etc, i just know they removed it for tanks,

but with ships it should exist and should be stating what the armor gives as “buff” like “10.5 inch XYZ Armor (Advanced Armor Materials/Construction 13.5% buff) Total: 11.91~ inches”.

for tanks honestly, the only mechanic should be welds cracking, and armor has higher chance cause spalling, but this is talking out of my T55e1 and not rationally.

It’s a pretty general purpose air defence missile, it can kind of do everything. And because of this it should perform very well at fighter altitudes

Are we going to see some more flying boats in the near future?
A lot of nations still have such planes, yet we haven’t seen any in the recent years.
It would be a very nice and unique addition to the game, perhaps even expandable for the Naval side of the game in the near future?

Anyone know how deep in the hull Soyuz’ magazines are ?

What ever gaijin feels like lol

Yeah, Gromvoinny probably had a dream about the stats.
That’s usually guiding for Russian equipment.

probably yeah, where as if we got lion we know what she should have reached and her guns are in game so it wont have fantasy stats, the only reason russia is any good in warthunder is because none of their late ships were finished so instead of being terrible like they would have been gaijin give them their “blueprint stats”

Gaijin add ground vehicle but rank 6

I suppose show in trailer but single nation aircraft toptier only

Ground vehicle focus western & Chinese Surface-to-Air Missile

The american tech tree in the researchable tree no the early 1st gen fighter aircraft from USN (6.7-7.0), fighter aircraft with Air-to-Air Missile (8.7-9.0) and Hybrid propulsion of a piston engine fighter aircraft

not really, it is just designed for planes, also used to attack ships in emergency. interceptor ability is achieved by recent upgrade, mainly software and some electronics upgrade.
it do has good high altitude performance, but this doesn’t influence that a clean body will get a lower drag like what AIM-260 or ASRAAM does.
I mean, if AIM-174 gets totally reworked, remove the strake wing, it will get a better performance.
