Yeah, I read it. It’ll be quite the decision. Long range or shorter range. I think the election would be based on what your (not so) very useful teammates spawn (if they even do so).

True, but that thing is also worse in many ways.

A Swiss F/A-18C with AIM-9s and AIM-120s but with no HMD and no CAS. This really sounds familiar, like an aircraft we already have in game.

Hornet with AMRAAM means 14.0 for Gaijin.

RB99 are in at 13.7, not 14

No it’s Type 03. 6 missiles per launcher vehicle.

The Finnish F-18C is almost exactly the same as the initial Swiss Hornet would be (AIM-120, no hmd, no cas). The Finnish one is 14.0 and thus so would the Swiss one.

But you are right that Rb99 appear at 13.0 and 13.7 already.

I wanna ask…what is a true range for the Swedish EldE 98? Because after quick google (which i dont know if its true, that is why im asking) the IRSI-T missle is RBS 98 which apparantly can engage a target at altitudes up to 12.5 miles, which is around 20km. So with that im sure that range isnt only up to 12km.

OR did i read the devblog incorretly and the meaning of missiles themselves having a launch range of about 10-12 km means that i can lock targets that is 12km away from me but the missle itself have longer range?

The A2A range of the IRIS-T is 20km, however the SAM range is only 12km.

12km max means 12km self destruction in game.
it’s actual energy level is close to Chaparral, about 2.5 mach max speed. so effective range should be about 5-8km

Since this is a more Naval-focused update, I wonder if Gaijin will finally consider that 14 MONTHS has been enough of a wait to fix Baden’s D turret mantlet being displaced deep inside the turret.

Which is one of the quickest and easiest bug fixes possible.

But here we are, 14 months later. This is the kind of stuff why we end up thinking that bug reports are a waste of time.

Ahh…so that willsuck. Unless somethig get into that 12km range. Dont know if i even want it as most/all CAS have much longer reach with their ordinaces.

Plus the reason why im asking is because seeing all the talking about german SLM (dont remember the name, dont stone me XD) has range up to 40km range. Like dont get me wrong, if this will happend im happy for germany to get a good SAM, but with what Gaijin gave Sweden and the range of it (and im sure there are SAM with longer range then 12km), part of me believe that Gaijin will “balance” the german SLM range.

(forgot that you get immidietly flaged for useing FU word)

Quite simple as it’s the name of the missile plus SLM, same goes for the SLS and the SLX. :)
IRIS-T SLS/SLM/SLX for short, medium and long range.

The RBS23 is really what should have been added, but eh.

Just look at this derpy thing. I love it.

I guess…but that means the Swedish IRSI-T is almost half-dead bofore it even arrived

It will murder Typhoons using Brimstone as the IR seeker mode when it locks on will be near impossible to defeat.

But no I fear it will not help with the Kh-38 and other stand of munitions.

It’ll probably be better than the ITO90M, however not by any meaningful metric.

So things that it will face most. Nice one Mr. Snail

Oh japanese 50km missle with 10km ceiling.

Honestly whats with all those low ceilings.
Derby er only got 12km altitude stated as well if i remember right. In the meantime iris-t slm has altitude statements of 20km
