Such missiles also have ARH hence they dont need guidance from the launcher if the target gets behind a mountain (as long as the missile has LOS, its good.
U definitly think about the wrong spyder variant
?
Looks pretty vertical to me
I mean the new SAMs should be better than VT-1 by a longshot, although I think 40km is a bit overkill.
20-25km should be plenty.
Here fixed it, now it’s not vertical launched anymore.
Spoiler
Well, to be honest, he’s half right, the Spyder isn’t completely vertical launch it’s just that it’s near vertical launch (basically the same but well). Thankfully, the launcher can rotate if I’m not wrong.
I thought it has a rotating foundation like other SPYDER
but I still doubt it’s blind zone range will be too long, seems pretty short to me, especially considering it’s hot launched and auto piloted.
separated version not AIO. AIO’s launcher is directed connected to chassis.
no its “Flamakdakzakjacpakrak”
And yeah, sadly, the Spyder does have a minimum engagement range if I’m not wrong. The launcher can’t rotate as you have demonstrated (I messed up with the SR version, sorry) and it can’t change the angle so it’ll always launch upwards. If the Spyder is to get Python 5s, it’ll allow it to reduce the minimum engagement zone but we’ll have to see. We can all hope it at least gets IRCCM missile (not the Python 3s) and maybe (super mega maybe) Derbys (whichever version seems more plausible).
Spyder AiO ith the launcher pointing upwards near a vertical position
You can see here the hydraulic tubes there meaning that unless the launcher with the tubes are on a rotatable platform, the launcher will just look at the front on a near vertical position.
So yeah, we are gonna have to pray it can get into position quickly enough.
the problem is irl minimum engagement range is not that suitable for game. considering the performance of DERBY in game, I think the range will be short enough.
They could spare upgrade 25 until after the SH is release in the US tree, that would be my guess. Would not make sense to have old cockpit and avionics within the Upg25 model.
- Standard - Regular TT, BR13.7, AIM-120A, AIM9P4 (This update)
- Upgrade21 - Premium, BR14, AIM-120B, AIM9P5(M) (This Update)
- Upgrade25 - Regular tech tree, AIM120C7 (Later)
Yeah, most probably due to the fact that these SPAAs are usually accompanied by other Spyders, planes, other AAs and powerful radars. Not to mention that the game doesn’t portray realism at its perfection (which is of course not a problem).
The tldr still is only you arent happy with the role the chinese spaa has been given and are searching for complaints for the other nations spaa and try to dismiss things as you want.
The type 625e still has important and great capability in interception of armament and ground flier defense
The minimum engangement range does matter atbthe end of the day. There is many maps where the type 625e would have thw advantage in defense there.
You wiuld need a completly flat map fpr the others to always be save
that’s your imagination. and I’ve also worried about SW IRIS-T SLS, which will have a much shorter effective range, which possibly can’t deal with planes in 8km away.
wowowow
that sound slightly overkill
I doubt they will release a premium hornet with amraams at 14.0 this update, like massive doubt.
If we see 2 swiss hornets this update it’s either 2 TT ones at 14.0 or a TT one with IR and ARH missiles and a premium version with only IR missiles.
Or gajin does the normal gsjin move of, it does have the ability to use this armament so it can get them. Even if switzerland never used sparrows. If switzerland gets sparrows, they might as well give it A2G armament.
Same justification used for EFTs, mig 29s etc
Gaijin has already shown that balance between new SPAA isn’t that much of a concern. Just look at the Elde 98 and CS/SA5 that were just announced. The CS/SA5 is already miles better.
Its very likely that GJ does not do what we hope that they would and we will ask ourselfs once more, why, why why GJ??
