Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

I advocated for one RN battleship per update for a year, thanks Gaijin implemented so.

But now the US navy feels like skipped a lot of designs, for example Lexington class battlecruiser should be around here, Colorado should have come updates earlier and they could have added the south dakota class alongside nelson and dunkerques

Not only that but balance too

and only letting naval have this much relax guidelines is crazy

He’s lost it, he’s responding to himself.

You know, I was originally against fake ships too—especially since the prototypes and paper designs like planes and tanks were being removed. But seeing the R2Y2s taken out really made me reconsider. It’s unfortunate to lose such unique and domestic designs. It would be a shame to see even more copy-and-paste content added to the game, especially when it comes to naval units.

Which are also the only real existing rules, while the Game is all over the place.

Completed Kranvagn hull isn’t enough to be added to a nation with no heavy tanks, while F-16AJ is added despite never going further than a brochure.

Suggestion rules meanwhile are clear and fair, where everything has to fulfill objective criteria rather than some subjective judgement.

(I’m not saying Gaijin use them, I just wish they would)

or tanks, or planes if you really want to stretch the bar… the problem was all money and resources, and as long as they actually keep it balanced and not make them premiums so you “really” cannot touch them after they are implemented.

there is quite a lot of things you can add… just battleships/ships took the most…

kinda like EV trucks, EV motorcycles, EV bicycles, EV mobility scooters, and how much resources (battery wise) it takes, and how the same amount of resources could build X amount of the “lower kinds”

it def needs to be community helped/ assisted and nothing of what war thunder does for balancing for those types of “paper vehicles”/“wood mock up”

We haven’t seen such ships yet which should tell you something.

kms gnisnau never got those guns she just had turrets removed and only keel was laid down for sevestopol

she had her guns taken off to be used as costal batteries thats it

Spoiler

[800 x 534]Gneisenau sunk as a blockship in Gotenhafen, at some point after March 23, 1945 ...

lol

Gneisenau*

And it was planned for it to get the bigger main cannons, that’s why the turrets got removed, because it was in harbor to get the new turrets it was initially supposed to have

Krons and Sevestipol were 10.6% and 11.6% completed respectfully

which im fine with as long as gaijin doesnt give them fantasy stats (yes gaijin im sure russia with next to zero naval experience in the interwar built a 12inch gun that has more HE and similar pen to inter war 14inch guns and more pen then mid to late war 12 inch guns)

The version in game is the what if refit after her sinking and a what if the Italians fully completed her repairs and refit.

the chances are significant on this one…

they never got the german 15 inch guns its a massive stretch to give them the cannons its not possible for political reasons of the time

Yes

“I’m not saying Gaijin use them, I just wish they would”

I just don’t like Gaijins arbitrary system of exceptions and inequal treatment of similar cases for no reason other than subjective dev judgement.

I didn’t mean they will be added, just that Gaijin doesn’t really follow strict rules at all and just do whatever they want, while we try to make sense of it with what’s essentially guesswork. The point being we can’t know for sure what will and won’t be added unless Gaijin release rules and stick to them without exceptions, which I doubt will ever happen.

at least gaijin cant give them fantasy stats as we know how they worked, it is funny how much gaijin tries to push the idea russia was a naval power tho

That one’s a movie prop camouflage, no?
From an US post-war movie called Fighter squadron.

I believe the claim that the Germans had the P-51D were contested? At least we do have pictures of captured P-51B’s, like T9+CK.
