Will be interesting to see how this works out in WT.
- Maps keep shrinking due to gaijins insistence on cramming top tier vehicles on reserve tier-sized maps, so there’s not many places left to hide a large vehicle like the TRML-4D.
- The need for the component vehicles of IRIS-T SLM to be stationary makes them tremendously vulnerable to saturation attacks with GPS munitions or even toss bombing.
- Ideal tactics would likely dictate it to be preferable to separate the TRML-4D from the IRIS-T SLM TEL, further exacerbating the map size issues for the system, along with the fact the TEL does not have any secondary targeting system afaik, potentially opening the system up to the risk of attacking the TEL from an angle the radar is not covering, or losing the radar and effectively losing the whole system.

I’m pretty sure there are already vehicles ingame that technically need to be stationary although I can’t remember, which ones it was. If I remember correctly, the launcher vehicle can be up to a couple kilometers away from the radar as well. Will see if I can find a source on that.
Yeah but Germany has no real jet fighter on the premium side.

I’d still prefer command systems to not be placed in the same spawn as tanks, it entirely defeats the purpose of the update as these command and fire control truck systems are huge and would be extremely vulnerable to CAS or even spawn camping rushers.
Most SAMs ingame dont fire well on the move, but this one needs to outright deploy, and it needs to do so for the radar and the TEL.
Im guessing if added, you’ll be able to control both vehicles individually, but that would also mean double the time to move your vehicles out of harms way

NGL iv seen so many people say that we are going to be getting the IRIS-T SLM for a few nations, which is absolutely brain melting because after the most basic research IRIS-T SLM is a 40km range missile, that is made up of 3 vehicles like Patriot is. The radar truck, the launcher truck, and the command truck that handles all the firing . While we could pretty easily just get a universal radar station for everyone, the issue lies in the command vehcile and the fact the missile is 40km range
Premium Gneisenau is certainly a decision and your right on it selling well. Guess ghat means Germany would get Bismarck in the tree then?
i wonder if the stats would change depending on nation/type. or if what radar you use is a modification/affected by BR like nuke plane
