So what br will the f5a(g) go to? I’m thinking 12.3 if it gets L(i).
Difference between ASM-2 and GCS-1 is that the ASM still gets IOG to a pre-designated target. GCS just falls and you pray.
So with GCS you’d need to get used to the search behavior and watch your CCIP and how you drop, while ASM is much more straight forward targeting a point you can control more closely.
But GCS-1 also uses an IIR seeker, not just basic contrast.

Standard F5A engines, we also need to see missile load. This could be either garbage on release or busted. The airframe and engines and no radar prevent it from being able to dogfight with some opponents but having IRCCM missiles could make it very potent.

Could be 12.0, if it’s just the two missiles then it’s worse than the Mirage 2000, and MiG-21Bison I’d say, but 12.3 would also make sense

If that’s the case then yeah 12.3, but the image only shows 2 missiles, the other A models also only have 2 iirc, guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Iirc other Norwegian F5’s have the 4x missiles, i feel this vehicle could be decent but again if it has a poor RWR its gonna suffer pretty hard. Just gonna have to see what the snail has in mind
Side thought that came to mind is using the JATO in a dogfight lol

Getting a good addition to the tree is almost on par with winning the lottery and considering the trees track record of L’s im thinking it will be meh at best.

12.3 with 4 IRCCM is lower than 12.7 F-20 with 4 9L, with IRCCM it’s probably going to be same BR as F-20
Lets not joke here, that’s not the place for this, if it only has 2 missiles itll be 12.3, tax for being on the swedish air tree lol, a fate worse than death itself.
Just imagine what the J35ÖE would be with all aspects considering the snail thought the XS was 11.3 so ÖE would be like 12.3 with 9L’s

Honestly, the F-20 is over tiered, even with 6 AIM-9L, it should be 12.3 with the Mirage 2000 really.
But this F-5A(G) will have a worse radar, RWR, and engine, so it’s not unlikely that it does end up at 12.3 though with 4 AIM-9L/I I can see it going either way

Or 2 AIM-7E-2 with 2 9L, a better engine, a better RWR and i think they have the same CM’s at 60

Iirc the radar was removed, its a F5A model originally and i dont believe it was ever given a new radar, so again even more of a reason it will be annoying to use.

Also its heavier than a standard F5A, it has a arrestor hook and reinforced wings. So again you’re talking a vehicle that will be worse than the F5A at 10.7 iirc? (Dog fight wise)
