The BTR-80 version would be a bit more fun and would fit in with the event hint of a vehicle with a new weapon system that would change how it would play
Its really long overdue at this point I would be shocked if it came this patch as gaijin seems to ignore top tier mbts for over a year.

We really need more tanks with APS, I expected more after they released the first bunch 4 years ago, but the feature has mostly been dead ever since.

This is reasonable, but event AAs are extremely rare. I do think it could be soviet, that being the BMPT terminator, revolutionizing the T-72/T-90 gameplay.
I mean… after the abrams what other tank uses hardkill aps?

CROA1 can fire 9M37M, 9M333 & 9M311-1M

We do but then like the reload buffs it devalues the tanks that have the system and are still underwhelming.
Merkava MK4M, CR2 Black Knight spring to mind. Remove their only gimick and they become irrelevant.

You can still somewhat make a case for the merkava with that 5sec 600+ pen dart. CR2BN on the other hand, basically its only gimmick.
They are already irrelevant because the BR system isn’t being used due to “hurr durr every nation needs a top BR mbt”
