It has the ICV and the Type 16. Britain would kill for that kind of vehicle.

A type 16 doesnt take half a map to turn and a year to align its gun, however.

I should add that it does have FY-4, but unlike the chinese VT-4A1 in-game it doesn’t have a full FY-4 coverage, but FY-2 on front plate as example.
Summary
Turret amor type of Thai VT-4 is unknown to me.

Type 16 has better thermals and fire power. But yes I regularly have to use the MTTD and VFM-5 as my light tanks in Britains top tier

That means not even that small strip on the glacis will be capable of withstanding fire; instead of being around 690mm KE, it will be around 610mm KE; so shells such as M829A2, DM53, Type 10, etc, will be able to slice through it.
I mean, if it’s 11.0-11.3, it could be great, on the Type 90 lineup! Unfortunately, I can already smell it at 11.7-12.0.

Eh, the thermals aren’t that big of a deal, the Rooikats (and VFM-5s) round has slightly more pen, so I guess by fire power you mean the 12.7mm MG the Type 16 gets?

Also, just curious as I might have missed it, do we have much info on the next ground event vehicle beyond the “massively different weapons” hint? I am guessing the G6 HVM currently off that but just wondered given it is a rumour round up xD

It would, but currently the only vehicles I can think of which would massively change scope would be them, or something like CVRT Streaker with an MLRS on the back of it where the entire turret comes off. As the last vehicle was British, I can see a South African event vehicle being a tempting choice, esp given Brits keep complaining about SAMs while wanting SAMs xD
Given that its “big enough change to be the hint”, I am guessing a complete role change like G6 HVM over say, an autocannon to a main gun change.
It would also be the first proper SPAA/SAM event vehicle wouldnt it? Could be neat.
