Again it happens a lot where blatantly better vehicles sit at the same BR as worse vehicles.
tbh I don’t know why they moved the S5 up but not the S4 given how similar they are, but the F-16A is about average for a 12.3 fighter, though the competition is weird, it has the best FM but the worst weapons there, I’d still rather play the Bison though, just because HMD and IRCCM allows you to take higher PK shots, the F-16As best weapon is likely it’s gun
Still makes me wonder why the F20 is 12.3 when the Bison is better imo.

The devs often consider a lot of different possible features for sure yes. But some can often present challenges, both technical and gameplay balance wise that may come into consideration. Right now at least, there is nothing particularly to speak of in that area.

Yeah, i think if the F5’s had a more consistent heat source for their model then it could be a bit lower. I haven’t seen many F20’s recently so i cant judge their performance

I haven’t played it, but I imagine the F-20 is still pretty good at 12.3, better FM than the Mirage 2000 and with a better radar missile but worse IR, and a much better FM than the Bison, again with the worse IR missile, it’s closest comparison I think is the F-16A tbh
Nah its still incredibly hit or miss, im assuming because gaijin modeled it after the F5’s
