Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

Most appreciated, although I don’t think anything new will come to light until Fine Molds decides to disclose their documents.

I will say there is thread to vote on if the O-I should be added. (Note. It’s closed now) But you can still look through for some really good info Japan's phantom multi-turret heavy tank Oi vehicle

Indeed, now that it has been passed to the developers it’s really more of a waiting game if anything.

The problem is that F-15J has no guided A2G ordnance. The F-16AJ was added to provide CAS options if I remember correctly. Late F-2A would fix this problem though and I really hope they give it ASM-2B with a similar anti-tank capability as AGM-119.

Could really push it by making another thread to gather every and all info to get that tank pushed through and into the game and not a prem but a TT one.

That is kinda true.
Im not suprised that they could make 1:1 scale model. Like A7M3-J and etc

(Photo not mine)
For O-I i dont expect that large but somewhat smaller model.

There are already threads for this though, so I don’t think it would be all too worth it. More interesting to me, however, are renewed suggestions for the Ka-To and Ho-Ri II considering the old forum containing them is scheduled to close this year.

Fair enough, that’s a pretty good point

JM had JDAMS though no?

Well they haven’t made a 1:1 replica of the O-I to my knowledge, all of the documents they own have been hoarded so they could recreate the tank in 1:72 to out-compete the rival modeling companies with true historical accuracy that they simply can’t provide.

No. F-15Js were intended exclusively for interception and air superiority roles. The future F-15JSI is expected to be comparable to an F-15EX, but we do not have any details yet, other than the acquisition of JASSM-ER and the air-launched Type 12 SSM Kai which is currently in development.

I would expect something human-sized

In that case to maintain the reload rate those shells would all have to be next to each other.
If it was modelled realistically. That would be over half the carousel would be loaded with shells.
It is not modelled correctly, it is less prone to detonations than some NATO/Western tank design CR2 is a fine example.

Obligatory
