the best thing they could do is be a premium for the US so something like a navy or marine F/A-18A or A+ doesnt end up as a premium

only 2 ideally, sweden through finland and US through US

It’s probably because Japan didn’t have an equivalent and Gaijin had to make one up otherwise Japan would have been useless for a year and a half.
Ah, so if thats what we’re basing it off, 1 typhoon as opposed to 2 f-15s and an f-16, other than boring people and annoying people back and forth can you give me a valid reason other than “US did this US did that” because if im being honest with you it is genuinely getting boring to read constantly

I love how this is what we were expecting from the Rank VIII hype, yet the only actually Rank VIII- worthy MBTs added since December 2023 have been the two Leopard 2A7s and the 122, maybe T-90M too xD.
VT-4A1 turned out to be a slower MBT-2000, Challenger 3 (TD) turned out to be basically a base Challenger 2 sidegrade, and M1A2 SEPv2 turned out to be a slower M1A2 with better thermals.

Realistically the only nations that should get an F18 are the US, Finland, and Switzerland. UK currently doesn’t have a subtree with them and doesn’t need a F18 with their current lineup of aircraft same with Italy. The less nations with an F18 the better. Of the nations that aren’t the US Germany and Sweden are the ones that will most benefit from it.

They could’ve just stuck with the actual F-16AJ design, making it at least paper… But for some reason decided to change it, because complete fake was somehow preferred here. And then they gave the worst possible “historical reasoning”, contradicting all sources on the actual vehicle of the competition it was submitted for.
Sure, they would’ve “had to” add a paper design, but they chose to make it even less than paper.
