gszabi99: No exact info about the A6M5a, but the dakimakuras should be available for everyone, 20k score for one, another 20k score for the other, or 499 GE apiece.
All hail the dakimaru gods, we will be able to put 6 of them on ouer glorius japanes tanks XD
Will all depend on how they model it but a better F-16 in the sense that it has similar rating capabilities but with higher AoA and positive G capabilities mean it might also be competitive in a 1 circle scenario too. Since, the F-2 will never be better than F-15J(M) in BVR, it will all comes down to WVR scenarios.
No HMD would hurt WVR fights to get off boresight AAM-3/4 shots, though vertical ACM can kind of mitigate that.
I would doubt they are as good as the eurocanards, but with a decent missile loadout and a good radar, they should at least be able to defeat gripens in BVR. Su-30s are still much of a guess of how good they will be, mostly in regards to if the R-77-1 - similar to basic AMRAAM - and the question of would it be present.
The only chance an F-2 would have is WVR in a 1 circle scenario or low speed fights, but those are rare in air RB. Ground RB is another story though and mostly what the I’m looking forward to the F-2 with (as a CAP monster).
That is a good point, but are you sure about the ASM-2s, given how terrible the penguin turned out to be? Well, it is decades ahead so it should perform better, but long range IR guided AGMs such as KD-88 was bugreported for 2 years and awaiting response, wont be too optimistic on that.
Honestly I’d be more interested in the L-JDAMs, but I play aircraft in GRB mostly to kill other aircraft as you tend to get more 1 vs 1 dogfights there and there’s no markers.
Good point. I am also looking forward to the F-2 but I wouldnt be surprised if Japan didnt get it, the nagato, or anything Japanese specifically next update. Last year it was a copyfest and Id imagine this year its the Thai ground subtree.
I don’t know what you mean by early WW2 era, as most of ships you mentioned comissioned at early stage of WW2. If you’re saying about battleships that were already in service at 1939, there are not much left, especially the nations I mentioned.
