I looked at IFVs and not light tanks which are what the Boxer and Puma S1 are
in terms of IFVs they are underitered and capped at 10.0
Light tanks Centaro etc brs do go to 11.3 but these are replacement effects for tanks they dont have.
Germanies ground tree is embarrassing so much so we need to limit lineup sizes to maybe 5 ground vehciles 1 heli and 1 aircraft.
I hope Gaijin does not remove ZTZ-96 (P) with the introduction of the Premium MBT-2000, as they do every time they add a new more expensive Top Tier…
If I could ever afford it, getting both would be my plan to grind China, hahah.
Things like the Centauro are not replacements for MBTs. They are fundamentally different vehicles that are very distinct from MBTs in how they are played.
They supplement MBTs, not replace them.

To be fair i talked about lights not ifvs, since same job in war thunder to spawn planes
And ifvs are weaker because they cant reliably penetrate mbts which the ither can.
They are stronger and tjose get a higher br
CV90120 came out with the singluar 2A4 and STRV 122.
They at the time needed a 3rd top tier vehicle.

German get a new vehicle every patch they dont lack in any capability excluding a good CAS aircraft.
Other nations need their lineup brought up to Germanies level and it never happens.
Germany has nothing between 10.3 and 11.7. Germany does indeed lack in capability.

The gap certainly exists.
The big reason it doesnt ger brought up as much is if you dont have a good CAS in the first place the light tank job kinda gets redundant as well.
Good flankers but mbts can do that as well
At least the light tanks in the german tree can be brought up to top tier and be viable. Puma with spikes will fill the higher BR light well.

If it comes as squadron vehicle it might just as well be top tier and carry FOX3s. We had that for ground vehicles already (M1A1 AIM while M1A2 was top tier). There’s no reason for air vehicles to be different especially when so many people are fixated and hyped over FOX3s
