Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

TTD is 10.0 (not that it really matters, but still)

Most of their other vehicles are pretty good tho.

yeah the strikemaster. Wasnt sure which nation but the camo looked australian.

They weren’t removed, they were just hidden, so new people can’t get them. Vets can still use them.

ehhhhh Olifants are kinda ass, the Rooikat 76 used to be good all the way back before the sub 105 APDS and APFSDS changes now its damage is terrible yet has a reload rate of a 105, the ZT35 is pretty good, same with the MTTD the rest are either very meh or sub par

yeah ive noticed new mechanics for minor nations dont get modelled until russia has something that also has that mechanic, honestly gaijin really needs to rework nato ERA and addon packages in general, the package on the Challenger 2 TES can stop up to 30mm APFSDS yet cant even stop 20mm APDS

Thought of /s to be serious, not sarcasm.
Thx for correcting on Leclerc.

AZUR kit should be NERA, not ERA indeed. NATO is really put behind on that.

And French ERA, like on the Brennus, should wistand around 100m of KE, not… 5mm or whatever they put xD. It was acknowledged by Gaijin 2 years ago.

Leclercs crew should also be immune to 30mm.

A thing for russians since KV-1S and IS series…

WARSPITE(03) maybe?

yeah it also deosnt help that more modern ERA is given the same stats as ROMOR it would be like if Relik was given the stats as Kontak 1

god please I would actually go back up the british blue water line again

It has nothing to do with which nation it’s from and everything to do with exactly what it should be doing in game that the Leclercs dont already do given it has it’s limits set from source material.

You keep bringing this up but so far haven’t been able to provide anything to clearly show what it should be doing in game that it isn’t. That’s precisely why there is nothing to implement and why it’s got nothing to do with which nation it’s from.

A thing even for soviet MBTs, since they dont need to completely cut motion to one track to turn, adding more motion to one track is enough.

Please do not create a false narrative. Many Leclerc reports have been accepted and reports are not rejected only by the Russian side.

This fules bias myths and misleads others.

What about the Addon armour of the Challenger 2s, I know a bug report was made about it and it had sources from the literal manufactures of the package that the armour could withstand up to 30mm APFSDS giving it around 165 to 175 kinetic protection, combined with the back plate and the hull armour it comes out to something like 280mm or something like that if I remember right probably more

Can you link the report in question please?

It was checked quite a few times regarding the protection level of the add on blocks and it matched the standard (at least on the one I saw concluded).

Dunno, I prefer the Olifants over the Chieftains at that BR.
Personally never used the Rooikat 76, but the premium 105 is one of my favourite ground vehicles.
The Concept 3, the ZT3A2, the Eland and the G6 all are great vehicles and as much as people seem to dislike the Ratels, I do enjoy using them.
The Ystervark and Bosvark seem pretty good, I personally don’t like them tho
The only SA vehicles I’d call sub par are the SARCs

Community blaming TrickZZter for refusing any non russian report on english forum all while on russian forum people blame TrickZZter for refusing all russian reports, the usual.
Especially for someome who mostly just has to put dev’s respond to people.

Résumé

Leclercs are currently lacking acceleration. I do think this is happening because Hyperbar is not correctly implemented in the Leclercs. Every Leclerc in service with the French Army are coupled with the Wärtsilä V8X engine [1.1] and a Turbocharger, TM307(namely, Hyperbar System) [1.7]

Hyperbar acts like a more powerful turbo to increase significantly the pressure of air, up to 7.9 bars [1.3 and 1.4], compared to other regular Diesel engines it does allow for much higher power delivery at lower RPMs.
According to Martin Klotz, who was the DGA’s Head of MBT and AFV Programmes at the time [1.2] states that the engine is capable of reaching full power in just 2.8s, compared to the ~8s for the best conventional Diesel engines.
Hyperbar allows to reach full power earlier because the power is delivered better at lower RPM. In fact, According to a source [1.3], max torque is reached at 1,600 RPM.

Also, so why no regenerative steering ? If it’s not because Russia would be alone without that, it’s because of devs who don’t know how to code that ?
