Not removed, made a subtree of Britain.

Only problem for me is the MK.66 its been modified to carry Aim 9M but i couldn’t find anything on the Fins giving it CM’s. The whole purpose of using them was because their treaty with russia in 1947 limited how many aircraft they had. Technically the Hawks were trainers and not fighters so they could have more of these.
Spoiler

yes the 30mm gun was still there in the alpine air tree suggestion.
Still there are probably better planes for finland (sweden) or switzerland (germany)
It should get added to britain just for historical reasons
The Finnish Hawks can carry british and Finnish gun pods. One doc claimed they could carry two gunpods but their isnt much info on how many they carrying outside that doc
Best way to tell if a Hawk has CM is whether or not it has a box above the Engine exhaust like here that carries 2 ALE-47 dispensers
At 6.7-10.0 there isnt much sweden or finland can really fill. Especially without people complaining. Realistically the upgraded J34 with afterburner, Saab 105T and the Gnat and Hawks could work.
Yeah then none of them have them which is a plague with sweden, especially with the saab 105’s the T model carriers Aim4x 9J’s, AGM65A, and Bullpups yet no CM’s
it’s still a nightmare to balance. Trainer aircraft shouldnt replace fighters aswell. It’s like all these modern auto cannon vehicles in ground rb ww2 brs. It’s just not fitting in my opinion
Add rather planes from norway or denmark
So France turned into a Canadian tree???
/s
Eh, most swedish aircraft are also missing their correct armament so it doesnt help. Again id like to see DK and Nor get the Benelux treatment for air.
I mean, depends if BOL is possible, but I doubt it
I think the Hawks without Countermeasures would be best suited below 10.0, even if that means withholding certain weapons from them (like 9L on the T.1A)
Biggets thing would be if BOL was universal on all pylons and who used it
Would’ve made for a better home for a Dutch sub-tree then the fight between France and Germany clearly.
(I’m out of likes…)
I mean, i think BOL might have been considered on the Hawk 200, but even then there’s no guarantee it would be backwards compatible with the Hawk 100, let alone a Hawk 60 or below
I’d argue Japan already has enough, Gaijin just seem to not like any of them…
Spoiler
J8M1

(Ki-200, but with Type 5 cannons)
J8M2

(Not actually the pictured aircraft. I’m not sure if it was built, but it’s basically the J8M1 trading a single cannon for more fuel)
Ki-201
Technically real enough to be added, since parts were built.
Kikka (Prototype)

(Not the one in game)
P2V-7 (Lockheed)

(Hard to see, but it retains the turret)
P2V-7 (Kawasaki)
P-2J
T1F1

(Couldn’t find a photo but the prototype was built)
T1F2

Now has production canopy design and Orpheus
T-1A
T-1B
T-1B-10/C
T-1 VTOL

This one from what I understand was never actually built, however a testbed for the VTOL setup was completed.
T-33
Vampire T.55
XT-4

Though for good measure, here are the subtree options:
The problem then comes down to where the Hawk models would go, limit their equipment and then theres no reason to add them. Add all of their stuff and place them at a BR where they dont work at all. Its a bad spot regardless for Finland which is the usual for their air tree.
That P2 looks like some Star Wars spacecraft
I mean, depending on what sort of equipment they were both Fitted with, it might not be too bad
if the Hawk 51 wasn’t fitted with missiles it would probs be a good 8.3/7 fighter with limited ground attack, and the Hawk 66 could be limited to rear aspect and put at 9.7, that’s just my two cents on it though. Britain seems to be in a far better place for getting its Hawks
Problem is being 9.7 with 2 Aim 9J and no cm so it cant go there cause you have better vehicles at the same br
