Modified foreign or straight foreign wouldn’t have come or gone to the tree the tech is related to, they thought.
Only backlash I can think of is if they get some export vics and the exporter doesn’t get it for whatever reason e.g. CVRTs, weird leopards or something like that

I can appreciate not wanting your stuff spread across like 3 different nations, but that ship sailed years ago.
For me. I don’t really care that much about the C&P Stuff,
I know it not really fun to deal with a vehicle that just you but from a different nation, but I acknowledge that its bound to happen when a new nation or sub nation is added, which of course I could care less about the C&P issue as much.
As longs those guys who wanted their nation to be represented in WT are happy, then I’m happy for them. :p

How we feelin about today for a blog?
I can understand that some people like you hate it due to how confusing it can be to tell the differences between a American M18 or a Chinese M18.
But for me I go by If they are in desperate need of a tank or plane or boat to fill in a gap or something to spice things up I wouldn’t mind but I don’t like the just throwing a C&P in a BR Bracket where there is no need for it.
It’s a problem of SB, but not of C&P in general.

I might sound like a broken record at this point, but this wouldn’t be a problem if ROC Taiwan and PRC China weren’t lazily lumped together in the same tech tree and simulator teams in the first place
The TTs should have been ROC/South Korea and PRC/North Korea. This makes sense from both political and vehicle design points of view.
Then M18s and other US export vehicles would simply be on Blufor with the rest, and the Chinese soviet clones and lookalikes would be on Redfor.

They are obviously not “lazily lumped together” as you said. Gaijin just did the politically correct thing and made a decision that will cause least backlash from customer. Just like they will never put Korea and Japan in the same TT.
