im still confused on what they did to the PGM500 and 2000 as when I tried to use it in game I couldn’t even lock onto the ground until I was well with in 12km and even then it just exploded a couple of seconds off of the rail.
they really need to change that because otherwise there isnt a point in bringing them since they are very hard to use in low level flight, and if 12km is their max its near impossible to use at high level flight against russia.

yeah may as well bring the harrier with AGM65Gs at least they work and can be used in low level flight
I think… if you drop them in a slight dive, they actually hit your aircraft. Sometimes you just… explode
if you stay near the bomb yeah, I pull away from the bomb when I drop it so that doesn’t happen
They are essentially a glide bomb. So not that surprising. What we need is our 4x Martels
thing is back when they were added they seemed to work fine being able to lock from 20km away, sure they would sometimes explode but at least you could lock from so far away
Eh, both the JA37D and the Shar have very similar missile loads, of at max 6 A2A missiles, except that the Shar (with a 6 missile load) is capped at 2 AMRAAMs where as the Viggen gets 4. The Shar also has to give up it’s guns to mount the two belly AMRAAMs. The Shar is also Subsonic, it’s not going to get to the fight very quickly.
Hardpoints wise Shar would be:
Dual Aim 9M or AMRAAM - 2xGuns or 2xAMRAAMs - Dual Aim 9M or AMRAAM
And the Viggen would be:
RB74 - RB74 or AMRAAM - RB74 or AMRAAM - RB74 or AMRAAM - RB74 or AMRAAM - RB74

I have never really gotten more than 12-15km.
btw the Litening pod on my Jaguar doen’t lock beyond 5km for me anymore
Not too mention CMs counts. SHAR only gets BOL if it runs a single missile on the wing. Im guessing Viggen D would be better off on that count as well

At least according to the wiki the JA37D is 38 large caliber countermesures and two non-rail bol depensors somewhere on it giving an additional 320 countermesures
