What br would you give to such plane? 🤔
Im guessing our additions will be something like:
Sea Harrier FA2 (hopefully first update with AMRAAM) at 12.3 ish
Tornado F3 AoP at 12.7 ish
Those 2 would essentially “replace” the Gripen as our only 12+ allowing it to get AMRAAM/R-Darter and move to 13.0
Maybe a filler/12+ CAS upgrade with Tornado Gr4 or Harrier Gr9A, but neither are 12+ worthy without Brimstone. So depends when or even if, Gaijin want to add those.
Then its Typhoon. They cant put it off much longer. Germany has even less options than Britain going forward, at least without a sub-TT addition. So gotta come sooner rather than later (i guess maybe Decemeber now)
I do though still hold out hope for BAE Hawk sometime this year as well, it would make a nice filler
Not sure, it’s flight performance is not as good as top propeller planes, but it is overpowered in CAS.
Gaijin said that the Hungarian air sub tree wasn’t coming any time soon a few updates ago, so the Typhoon may very well come sooner than most think.

Yep, Britain is “fine” for a few updates, with ARH we have a few additions that would tie us over. With Hungary, Italy is also in a not too bad a situation. Though I have no idea what they have left from either Italy Or Hungary for the next few updates, but they atleast have options I think.
Its Germany that is the big question. After the F4F-ICE, they really dont have anything, unless they officially give them a sub-TT and additional top tier options. Like F-16 from Agentina or Poland (as I’ve seen a recent post begging them for) or Swiss F-18s.
But assuming they dont get those. Germany is gunna start to suffer at top tier pretty quickly and if 1 get Typhoon, all 3 will get Typhoon.
Im not sure what the current state of France is and what they can get between now and Rafale, but again, I cant imagine very much is left to be added other than adding ARH onto existing platforms.
So yeah, I think around 6 months from when ARH is added, so now likely december, is very reasonable assumption.

Hungary can’t go any further. The Gripen C is the best that Hungary has. As for Italy, its F-16s were mounted with AMRAAMs, and one can also be added with AIM-9Ms.
As for France, MICA EMs on the Mirage 2000-5F is fine for now. They’re great missiles (or will be once they’re fixed), and they can also get the Mirage 2000-5F Mk 2 (has a better radar and could come with MICA IRs) some time before the Rafale.

Yep F-16 with Aim-9Li (but probably Aim-9M) and AMRAAM and maybe a second variant of the AV-8B+ with AMRAAM is all I can think they have left for A2A
They also have some pretty decent Tornado IDS upgrades that would be less… controversial. Than the Tornado Gr4 (Wtih Brimstones). So thats another solid option for them in coming months, give them a really strong top tier CAS
iirc some Hungarian Gripens were also upgraded to carry IRIS-T not so long ago.
Italy can also have AIM-120 for AV-8B+. And next step will be Eurofighters (and then F-35s XD). Other than that there is also M-346FA little subsonic fighter which can carry IRIS-T.
Plus if Romanian stuff comes to the tree in something apart from premiums and camos, we can get their F-16MLU with AIM-120 (and maybe AIM-9X).
They will have EFT too, fine enough.
That was my point.
Gaijin can’t delay the EFT for that much longer because Germany has nothing after the ICE
Thailand also does use Python-4. Interesting enough, the new F-5THs are also armed with Python-4 (It’s going to be kinda wacky, BR-wise)

I’m doubting 5th Gen IRs on anything other than low performance CAS for at least another year, maybe 18 months.
Considering how many missiles there are between them and us, I don’t expect them to come in any capacity for at least two years.
If it’s an 18A, sure. Doubt we’ll see the 18C.
I still think either an AV-8B or F-15C is more likely though, because they can add the latter to Japan and Israel too as a fox 3 carrier.
you don’t need to upgrade any gripen for IRIS-T
it launches off of every AiM-9L/M rail as if it was a 9L
in theory you can use them with every Airframe that can carry AiM-9L
they were for example tested on the F4F
Idk maybe this upgrade included something more than IRIS-T, I also saw information about Meteors.

if it got nothing guided then you could put it at 6.7 just fine, my Spitfire MK24 will eat it either way
It wouldn’t be logical to take away its guided weapons. Those guided weapons makes it unique. It should be fine at 9.0+ BR, it would probably perform like a slower Su25.
