If the playtest was anything to go off of, they’re a straight downgrade to fox 1s in bvr. Unless they fix them, they’re going to be a sidegrade more than the upgrade they are irl.
This should be skin at best.

Is the Yak-3 the event aircraft in the new even format? If yes, then I was only expecting it after another boat…and to be honest was expecting a cool jet.

It is so lazy they didn’t even bother to make unique graphic for the event.
I’m glad for all the casual piston Yak enjoyers but I’ll skip this one.

I think it is a premium aircraft. That you acquire via the event. Which is kind BS that the USSR is being given free premiums now

There is a massive difference between an amraam and the aim 54, one can easily be doged, the other is much harder
Based on the playtest, they’re about the same. If they’re corrected then sure, but we haven’t even seen the “corrected” version of said missile yet.
Even in the play test the amraam performed much better than the aim 54 specially at shorter ranges
In my experience with the test they mostly just oscillated themselves into a spin. At least missiles like r27er and aim54 still worked. The tracking as a whole was borked. They could also be 1 chaffed rather regularly from multiple angles, not even a good notch.

The Western allied events are often lacklustre.
D-day was half-baked.
Battle of the Atlantic didn’t have any of the other nations who took part it was the US versus Germany only if I recall correctly.
It’s bad for the nations in the game.
and even worse for the “homeless” nation.
I did bring up it’s the 100 ani. of the RCAF. For what is considered a milestone year we got nothing.
No aircraft and not even a decal and I don’t think we are getting anything at all anymore as it’s already past.
