But is there any evidence prove that Brimstone was used on helis?
No idea which threads you’re reading but I wouldn’t even say many people are making claims as mad as calling the Pz3 and Pz4 C&P. To be fair I only care about planes, maybe ground forces threads are nuts.
Ground tree suggestions can get very bad for C&P yelling even here.
I’ve seen people call up-gun tanks nothing but C&P of what it originally was.
I’ve seen people call vehicles nothing more than the variants of said vehicle when said vehicle is a variant of the one they are calling variant. (LAV-III and Stryker)
Or trees that have a family of vehicles be nothing but C&P because it has all the different WT possible variants related to that nation.
Honestly weird, since ground vehicle development is much cheaper than aircraft its also way more varied. Maybe I’m just ignoring that one loud guy better than you though.
Tested and intergrated on the AH-64E in like 2016 iirc? Mytho and Morvran_ have posted some good photos and videos on the tests. It’s not a production thing though, the AAC decided to go with JAGM for cost reasons (1 JAGM is expected to cost about the same as a 114R ~$120,000 as production reaches max efficiency, Brimstone is not likely to drop below ~$260,000) and also the fact the JAGM has better soft target effectivness compared to brimstone. + the simulators and helis already have JAGM implemented. Though not being a production thing didn’t stop gaijin adding Air to Air StarStreak to the AH.1, so we might see Dual-mode (or even radar guided) Brimstone as the british AH-64E’s gimmick
Yeah… I see it as simply being a unique feature of the British version of the Apache E (assuming we do actually ever see Brimstones)
It because on the ground trees, more seem to hyper-fixate on the MBTs and the fact the nation uses Shermans(who didn’t?) over the other stuff.
So they see Leos and Shermans and call C&P despite both being versions of said vehicles that are unique to said nation. and are often there to fill holes/are part of that nation’s main doctrine.
And the few that do look at the nation’s originals they think it’s some other nations. like my example 2. (I’ve had that argument in my example more the twice in the last month(Mytho-GR1 can attest to at least one of them))
Yeah without it the British one will be like the American one so this can slightly differentiate it
And it won’t make it super op over the American one so it should be fine
I wonder if ours will have stingers or starstreak
Can confirm
Well… We will have that extra tea swag.
It depends.
If they fix StarStreaks, we will probably have stingers. If they dont fix them, StarStreaks
Well it mainly the AH-64E never used starstreaks
But the AH-64E from Taiwan used Stingers
Eh a Laz only Dual-mode brimstone wouldn’t be anything super fancy, Just a faster, slightly longer ranged Hellfire, most of the changes (compared to hellfire) are to optimise it for use on fixed wing platforms from altitude. Also given Gaijin it’ll have a lower pen than hellfire or JAGM as the warhead is almost 2kg lighter. Although JAGM and Hellfire are capped at 8km range from rotor wings, Brimstone 1 is 12km (20 from fixed wing lmao), If they’re insane enough for it, Brimstone 2 is reported to have OVER A 40km RANGE FROM ROTORWINGS
Yeah… though lets face it. Brimstone are gunna be hella nerfed for quite a while
I card more for my GR9A for Brimstone then anything else
British national anthem plays solemnly
Yeah… Bring on our fixed wing CAS
I want to get 12 hits and die to pantsir in style
12 hits on the pantsir right?
Ricochet of the window of course
