May be it’s time to test something like a truly mixed TT. No major nation, but a bunch of equal nations, with a Warsaw Pact logo or other non national flag logo.
Good for everyone, isn’t it? Can stop many argues.

Yeah, would be ideal, or even if there has to be a “host” nation. To not go the route of Sweden where they handicap themselves with having 1 nation being premium only

will, the main idea is remove “host” nation, if there is I think problems will show again. It’s a 0 or 1 problem. When there are a host, there will always be someone arguing.

multi-nation tree outside the sub-tree system is unlikely now. if there were planning that we would have a “commonwealth tree” before Isreal.
But we got a ZA sub-tree and nothing else.
So even something like a commonwealth tree would need its own host nation. (outside of the UK of course)

well, British is big enough to be a host. But this won’t work for the situation above. Things need to change, this isn’t that difficult, no technical problem like 5 line limit.
Time to create a super tech tree with all of the Warsaw pact in it.

Eh, if Britain could be a commonwealth host people would argue the USSR could be a Warsaw Pact host.
Besides I was pointing out that we would have had a separate commonwealth tree by now if we were to get multi-nation trees.
As a “commonwealth tree” was more or less the 4 British dominions tree.
The problem is, USSR tree is big enough, occasionally single addition like 53/59, t-72m2, is fine, but you have no way to bring all unique Warsaw Pact vehicles in without making a super huge TT.
If not so, it’s fine for most these vehicles in USSR TT.
The same thing would be with the UK and the Commonwealth.
The UK could have a 5-line and be the same size as the USA, GER, and USSR trees.
So a Commonwealth tree would need its own home as well. as even a nation like Canada could add at least 50 vehicles itself. not to mention the others.
basically, Warsaw and the Commonwealth are in the same position.

The problem is, UK don’t have as much vehicles as USSR, GER, USA. even 1 of the 5 line is SA.
and Commonwealth TT is not that unique, would be too much C&P.
Commonwealth TT is a good idea, but poor UK need some help too.
The thing is the UK didn’t need SA. It could have been filled with domestic vehicles. The Fox is only one of hundreds of domestic British things missing. The UK doesn’t need the Commonwealth’s help, the help they need is artificial. I can argue that the Soviets need Warsaw as well or make the same artificial need.
And I don’t like a “Warsaw” or “Commonwealth” tree as both would become C&P with how they would do them.
But the Dommions definitely aren’t C&P. Both Canada and Australia still built locally well into the Cold War. and Canada still builds domestic stuff today. (and I think Australia does too)
Plus India has plenty of unique stuff.
The Commonwealth’s notable nations are only C&P if you look at the MBTs in which Warsaw is also C&P for using soviet MBTs.
