Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

but here I thought tank would be next on the cycle.

That would make a better TT aircraft, Where the Argentinian Dagger (nesher) could make an interesting Event/Premium aircraft for Israel.

It should be

Might be copium but, I’d imagine EFT might come sooner than we might think, especially since the first variants had PD radars? Flight performance matters only so much when we’ll mostly be slinging ARH missiles at range. Heck in that same vein, AESA radars might not mean much when the ARHs still use their own non-AESA seekers. Though I think stuff like AESA (which then includes Rafale/F-2/etc) being saved for December makes more sense as we’ll need time for the ARH stuff to settle.

They had basically upgraded versions of the Blue Vixen Mechanical radar (what the Gripen got today) which should be very good and easily on-par with early AESA radars. CAPTOR-M would definetly go toe-to-toe in BVR fights vs anything with AESA.

Seems like a logical step to ease into AESA.

It seems Gaijin has already modeled AESA years ago, and it’s just a matter of releasing content fast enough to bring in aircraft using it.

With ARHs being in the game soon, a lot of nations will finally get to equalize performance, at least in air RB where flight performance isn’t as important as having a decent amount of IRCCM IR missiles and ARH missiles.

That what now happening with Gripen due to in game having a not the best SARH where the Radar is great but the seeker in the missile isn’t

Yea, exactly, which is why I think the more I’ve learned about AESA the less extreme it really seems. Especially after Gaijin tweaks it for balance.

Hell no.

Yeah, im not that worried about AESA, at least for now. AESA equipped ARH missiles, yeah, they scare me, but its more the aircraft that carry the AESA which have me semi-concerned. Like the F-18C spamming off 10 AMRAAM doesnt sound like fun to fight.

How do you know?

Right now this is totally unknow to me.

Honestly, until multi-pathing changes, I just think it won’t be that good, at least in air RB. I can’t speak for sim or anything there.

I do think in ground RB they’ll be really good as anti-CAS and might forever delete high-alt orbital CAS, if the pantsir hasn’t neutered it already.

I dont truly understand AESA, but from what I do understand of it. you would have nearly unmatched situational awarness, which is a very powerful asset in SB. (one of the main things ive been enjoying about the Buc S2B over the S2 is the increase situatonal awarness the radar gives)

Yep, instant refreshing TWS, and as a result pretty potent package with datalink + ARHs. However, once the ARH uses its own seeker, AFAIK datalink is just backup then.

There’s stuff like guiding multiple SARHs, but I doubt Gaijin will model that. Plus the F-2 early I’d imagine is really the only one that would be interested in it anyway as it’s limited to SARHs.

you can imagine like this: PD radar is a Tight beam flashlight used to look around at night and AESA is wearing Thermal Night vision gear

Yep, thats a good analogy. Just gunna be interesting how that translates in WT/how useful it will actually be (especially within the context of WT, both RB and SB) Tornado F3 for example has a really fast scan rate and can keep a fairly good picture of whats going on.

It should be before G.91s folder, also its weapon is very questionable, but even with all possible weapon options it is 6.x-7.x at max. MiG-15bis doesn’t fill any gap though, there are other 8.7 fighter jets in the tree.

That’s very strange… we already have the best possible variant of Ro.57, which is “Quadriarma” and it’s 2.7. Bis would be 2.0-2.3 if not lower. There can be more Interesting Italian CAS planes though (but for lower brs than IL-10), my favorite one is SM.93.

Weapon is also very questionable, iirc only Syrian 2A had 20 mm cannons (and one Italian prototype had mockup cannons) and there is very little info about it, others only had a pair of 12.7 mgs. It’s also basically an underpowered G.55.
On the other hand we have already had a perfect 5.0 which is P-47D-30, so the addition of Yak-9P wasn’t that necessary.

Completely different planes, also afaik G.91R/1 we have in game is already B variant.
Beagle is actually very nice for the TT, grind machine)
In Romanian marketplace camo it’s unstoppable XD

Like I’ve said before it easier to moan about C&P when you’ve been spoilt.

But my main issue with his argument is, He moans there are too many Russian aircraft and wants some unique ones.

But yet when he does list unique ones they are at totally different BRs to his original point

Enduring Confrontation or any other new gamemode would be welcomed…it’s about time we get something new other than few unique tanks and aircraft.
