I very much dislike these huge conglomerations in order to make a functioning tree, especially when they are as controversial as adding Iran in an Arab tree…
Turkey could also be the potential discussed subtree for Israel. Given that they do have a significant cooperation between each other in terms of military technology. Currently there are Turkish vehicles that are both American(event) and Italian(2 different premiums), but this only correspond to the nations that developed these techs. However, Turkey being any subtree is more than likely to cause outrage for Turkish players of the game.
On the other hand, we were to see a light tank branch for Israel, but given how “light” these light tanks are(an IFV that weighs 70 tons), they are likely to be absorbed into the tank destroyer branch, leaving the potential for a subtree open.
I believe that copypastes in low tier China only made the tree boring to play, however, it does make one of the most potent 5.0 and 5.7 lineups. And given there are decent premiums to grind to the BR where China has unique and decent original designs, I felt the discussion of “copypastes” should be limited to where the nation has original designs but were chosen to not be introduced. One example is perhaps Italian helicopters.
This is why some nations should be a part of existing TT instead of a new standalone one.
The problem is then sometimes they offer limited significance. Finland was successful, the critiques of copypaste were soon covered by angry German mains, and the strength of the subtree made Sweden more popular. Hungary was a failure, because it introduces vehicle that offers little to the problem Italy faces and then copypastes become a problem, because there were more Italian domestic designs to come.
And politics. War thunder is a game about real-life vehicles and politics is almost garunteed to spark from the player base whenever a new nation is introduced.
I agree with that statement, but not for the aforementioned countries.
Countries such as Greece or Norway I find are well served in this manner.
Would love to see a rework of the China QN506 top attack missiles. They really do need to be investigated, shooting down helicopters is more consistent than taking out MBT’s with the top attack missile.
Yugoslavia has always been one country. Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Slovenia, and Montenegro are not Yugoslavia, they are its successor nations.
There is a massive and well researched post making the case for Iran getting it’s own tree, or at least tech tree. I hope the dev-team considers Iran as they have a lot of cool weapons and vehicles.
After Yugoslavia, of course.
Low tier China air has unique options which haven’t been added, god knows why. XP-0, XP-1, SH-5, JJ-1, T-CH-1, Quing-6, AT-3 and the modified versions of I-15. Instead they got true copy paste stuff.
since the odds are high for the addition of FOX-3 missiles in the first patch of 2024.
i am the most curious about the french planes that will receive them.
what yall think?
A mirage 2000 or straight up going for a Rafale A?
or maybe even a Mirage F1?
They are not high for the first update; they are confirmed for either the first or the second.
since gripen C is confirmed for sweden with the first patch, i dont see why they would add the same plane again when no AMRAAMs, especially when the A already has the ground ordinance of the C
C with AGM-65D instead of B )))
Something making sense is not the same as something being confirmed. Also, a French equivalent to the DF105 was confirmed to be coming over two years ago, yet one is yet to be added.
Gripen C is confirmed for the first patch of 2024?!
I don’t know what you’re surprised about, but either way, that is not what I was referring to.
it is in Brit techtree right now
Not the Swedish one, however.
