If two vehicles are able to perform similarly to each other in the same scenarios, which the Leopard 2A5/6 and Arietes if fixed would be able to, then they are on par with each other. I don’t know what you don’t understand about that.

DM53 can be used on the Ariete, so it is semi-realistic. The armour, on the other hand, is complete nonsense.
