for AMRAAMS its Sea Harrier FA2 (Legacy Harrier with good radar and AMRAAMS) or Tornado with AMRAAMS which are both airframes we have now but with improvements
But for naval line it will be done for a bit with the Sea Harrier FA2 as the only thing domestic after it is the F35B which isa no where near so for a good early AMRAAM plane a CF18 can do as the EFT pre production i feel is unlikely
Honestly with how Gaijin has acted about the Eurofighter I don’t see anything with/about it coming until the summer update at the earliest.
Yeah my thoughts exactly
Unfortunately.
Sea Harrier FA2. Its a Sea Harrier FRS1 with 2-4x Aim-9M and/or 2-4x Aim-120Bs. (Canons are provided by gunpods, so often the choice will be between gunpods or AMRAAM) The engine from the Harrier Gr7 and a radar akin to that in the Gripens (though I think slightly better)
Tornado F3 AoP. Tornado F3, with 4x Aim-9M (Instead of ASRAAM) and 4x Aim-120Bs or C5s. Would ideally need to be one of the later modifications as the first the CSP would be totally worthless and unusable without Data-Link.
Both would be effective early Fox 3 carriers, but their limitations would become apparent as soon as air superiority fighters (F-16, F-15, Gripen, Su-27, etc) were equipped with AMRAAM as well. At which point CF-18 or Typhoon would become a requirement (Gripen C upgraded with AMRAAM is possible too). Alternatively they could both reiceve ASRAAM as a major AAM buff, but the likelyhood of that is slim.
(we then do have additional CAS options to pad out the tree before Typhoon as well, but they are dependent on more advanced AGMs to be worthwhile at the moment)
June or September is my prediction, but its, as always, dependent on what US/USSR get and when
Depend how far they like to bend things.
A firend said it carried 9Ls and 120A at first when it entered service in the German air force.
Which new missles will need a new shiny toy after all, I mean look at the new T-90.
but yea I doubt we will see them as it will signal the end for not only the German tree but the Itallian and British trees too.
This could be said about a lot of things. Those top tier is everything people don’t realize that we at the end for nations even in the game.
It wouldn’t be too long until any new content in the form of vehicles is WW2/early-mid Cold War. Or new nations which is effectively the same thing because at this point is where most nations that could be added content comes from anyways.
Yea this is why we should have new nationd at least yearly. Like I’ve said next year will mark the end of Britain, Germany, Italy and Sweden with Japan and Israel closely behind.
France have got some room left.
Same with the US, Russia and China.
For ground
Both Britain and Germany use/will use the F-35, so the Typhoon isn’t the end for them.
M8 we are far far away from the F 35 at least 3+ years
And the Typhoon isn’t the end for those nations. Also, you cannot know how long it will take.
Gonna leave a big naval gap
And?
It would look funny its just a statement
Ah, I see. My apologies.
The question is will we get a pre production Typhoon or something else
I’m not expecting a Typhoon until the September update at the earliest, with it being a Tranche 1 and maybe introducing AESA radars.
I doubt AESA so soon as a certain big nations would lack it for a bit
