It gives germany options for guided ammunition. Germany has only access at 10.7 with the F-4F and there are no other options. Alpha jet was never fitted with guided ammunition. Altough instead of a swiss hunter it could have been an argentinian A4 aswell.

and below 10.7? Only planes like the mig23bn without only dumb bombs and other planes like the g91 and F84F which isn’t exactly great. The G91 was great and was very uptierable but now is nowhere as great as planes like the A4 with 5 bullpups with much more tnt eq.
Was it constant regular testing for 30 years or are you just making up the number?
It went thru extensive testing tho. It’s not like with Mi-28A

Basically these aircrafts in the jet age. But All below 10.7 have no flares. Playing 10.3 right now with the vilkas and there is no real cas option to choose. Planes like the mig23bn gets eaten by missles without flares and was nerfed recently with the removal of single bomb drops/rocket fire
I mean yeah you’re right but F-84F still remains the best CAS unlit 10.7 and some 2-Mavericks equipped Hunter with flares won’t change that
F/A 18 would help with top tier cas at least, the tornado is just to much of a brick
taking a 8.3 plane to 10.3 is the definition of a gap. It’s nowhere comparable to A10s and su25s at 10.3 either

Germany doesn’t need top tier cas they need below 10.7 cas. That’s what I meant with that statement

That and mavericks without targeting pod, realy aint that great, its not easy even finding targets or getting the mavericks to lock the target and not the ground right next to it
Never said there wasn’t a gap tho? My point was that F58 doesn’t fill any gap and doesn’t improve anything in German CAS below 10.7.

I mean it wouldn’t improve anything even if it was a good cas option. Not everyone has access to a squadron and even with a squadron it still takes ages to get the hunter. That’s why squadron vehicles are still worse than tech tree vehicles. Squadron vehicles should be fun/strange vehicles and not vehicles to fill gaps
