A lot of people are going to be very disappointed when subs are added.
Other than that carriers might finally show up in WTM next year, and we’ve finally had confirmation that Gaijin is getting over their irrational fear of guns larger than 14 inches. 2024 is looking very exciting indeed.
Between the carrier airgroup controls recently added to the files, and Enterprise having been added in the same playable-level of detail as WT Mobile 's carriers we got in last year 's end-of-year update - very likely we’ll see CV-6 sometime down the line !
Though between the backfill addition of HMS Orion today and the continued presence of the Danton-class’ gun in the files, I’m also wondering if this year might be the one to expand on the addition of pre-dreadnought warships more, too.
Yesterday I had some fun with Pain.net, making custom Italian air TT with Hungarian/Romanian line and premiums.
Spoiler
There are still quite a lot of stuff to place, especially in terms of WW2 prototypes/bombers (Ca.335, C.201, Ba.64, Ca.310, C.V. F-5, FC-12 and etc) and jet trainers/light attackers (more MB-326/339 variants, S.211A, M-345, M-346, A-11T, G.91R/1T, G.80-3B) + c&p (like SB2C-5, P-38, S2F-1, PV-2, Bf.109s, Bf-110C-3, Venom, Martin 187 and etc), so even in represented condition TT can be expanded further.
This fills me with so much joy. I actually made something similar but deleted it instead of posting it. I fear that the unique stuff will be forgotten and we will only get copy pastes in the tech tree, similar to Finland. I’m expecting some German low tier stuff, Soviet mid tier and Gripen at the top, with maybe the Me 210 as the token new vehicle of the tree.
As more and more modern vehicles are added to the game, the difficulty of attempting to submit relevant documentation to illustrate their authentic performance continues to increase. With up-and-coming tanks like the VT4A1 Leopard 2A7V, gaijin has now repeatedly rejected player suggestions on the grounds that the information is not compliant or complete, so why doesn’t gaijin just provide the source of the information you used to create these vehicles? We players would like to see if the base documents you use to make vehicles are compliant and correct?
I hope that in a future major update, gaijin will openly and transparently display the base materials it uses to make new vehicles, which will help players to go out and find the correct, legitimate documented information to provide to gaijin, and will also help to shut up those who haphazardly submit false information in an attempt to tamper with the performance of their vehicles.
Since all four nations that use one of those either already have an ARH missile carrier or can easily get one, I don’t expect them to come until at least the September update, maybe even later.
