Not really going off of what Gaijin’s rules seem to be regarding stuff like this. It seems to be that production vehicles require a higher standard and show that they did use equipment or show full compatibility.
For prototypes / pre-production vehicles they seem to go off of what was planned for it if it was to have entered full production and service so long as there are clear plans detailing the important avionics, equipment, and weapons which the F-16XL does have.
Yeah it’s can’t carry any Sparrows, it doesn’t have the pylons for it they couldn’t be mounted on the wingtip rails and they wouldn’t fit in the recessed pylons that AIM-120 were going to be mounted to.
There could be a case for AIM-9M as it entered service in 1982 and the F-16XL was in testing from 1982 - 1983 with the USAF so there’s a chance Gaijin could give it. But I think chances are they’ll keep it to AIM-120 and AIM-9L like what the F-16 ADF is like.

Would it ever be considered for addition? Or must a vehicle be physically delivered for addition to War Thunder? (e.g. Heavy Tank No. 6, never delivered / never bought Swedish Mi28As / AHS)

To be real I don’t put the Philoctetes anywhere near my wishlist, from being a vehicle that was just tested and a Greek company had a small part building it, because Greece hasn’t bought it and 99% sure it will never buy it. I wouldn’t be against it after French has gotten it after 2-3 updates Greece or Cyprus could get it. (I specifically don’t want it in this update because it will be the number 4 in the row that Isreal is getting a auto Canon with FnF missiles even if it’s a 40mm with AKERON )

When the first will be delivered to the Isreali forces ( they always get delivered in American soil and after a while they get transferred to the country) example the first Greek F-35 will be delivered in 2028 and technically Greece will operate F-35 (and so greece will be able to receive their F-35 in game) then but the first F-35 will arrive in Greece in 2030
And the fact it’s a specific prototype variant specific for the HA are perfect reasons for it to be added

Is Acquired the moment:
- When the deal goes through.
- When it’s pending delivery.
- When it’s delivered to country.
Because we’ve had additions like AHS, Mi-28A which were not in any of those categories.
I love your enthusiasm but looking at the Israeli tree and very obvious 10.7 gap, the Greek ground vehicle (I assume only one) is a Leopard copy paste
There’s also the unique Greek Leo 2A4 ASPIS and a Leo 2A6 105mm.
No line for it to be put in, it’s either goin to be an spaa or a preorder pack/ge premium.
Very unlikely for it to be randomly ploplt on one of Israel’s existing lines, even if that’s the case, that would be completely idiotic on their part.

The highest BR for a DM63 105mm gun is 10.3.
There’s also Leo 2A4s with 105mm. Leo 2A4 ASPIS would be the first Leo 2A4 with ERA blocks.
IPM1s M900 has both better pen and better reload. 2A6 105mm might be 11.0 despite the better hull armor.
I mean they can alway yeet it behind the Sabra line, which ends at 10.7 and move it later.
