Decomissioning is followed immediately by placing it in reserve is a lot of cases (if not sold immediately).
It depends on which of the two times they refer to:
So either Q1 1963 (thus 10.08.2026) or Q4 1963 (which wont work)

I’ve already seen people on twitter doing mental gymnastics thinking a quarter is somehow 1/8 so we’ll do this;
12 months in year
Q1 = Month 1-3
Q2 = Month 4-6
Q3 = Month 7-9
Q4 = Month 10-12
It’s really poor wording in their post though, either they mean the quarter of the month the exact day falls in or the quarter (of the year) that the month is in.
Doesn’t matter, figuring out on the way is the fun part!

well that leaves us with figuring out which of the two times it was put into reserve they mean.
The german wiki-article writes that the voyage it undertook after being decomissioned and placed into reserve (which the EN one calls recomissioning) was a yearly summer-trip of the reserve-fleet…
So I assume it’s gonna be February 25th then?
Although when you take the “quarter of the month the day is in” approach, you get Q4, which would not work when you consider that you have to invert the number, since that’d get you 04 → 40 or 4 → 4, neither of which work.
If you take the “quarter of the year the month is in” approach then you get Q1 and as such 01 → 10 as possible answer.
