Hi Mr Smin, hope you’re having a lovely day.
So it came up in other threads, and is something I didnt think on, the Scimitar 2 coming in the event is missing its spall lining.
Given theres a report thats 2 years old for the mk1, and another for spartan hulls (which this is) thats also 2 years old, how much “extra proof” would be necessary to get spall lining added?
Especially given the main point of the Scimitar 2 was specifically to reduce casualties from spalling from fragmentation penetration of the hull (alongside blast shockwave which is why the seating and driver controls got worked) and the like alongside its previous model having spall and that being accepted I was curious if we still need to find serious proofs or not, or would images be enough? I ask as I remember images of spall lining for British vehicles being denied before and stated to “possibly” be for other things like heat/sound proofing or some such.
Just to help with nudging a report forward so we might not have to wait years for a brand new event vehicle to get spall protections.
The previous 2 reports.

given the Scimitar 2 is 8.3, it feels like it will need every boost it can get.
