I just now realized

Brits operated Exocet ?

Trolling aside, i guess they’ll get it when ships have missiles equipped
Funnily enough the french tree does not get its own naval Exocet slinger, so your prediction might become true X)

Yep, Leander-Class Frigates, Type 21/22 Frigates and County-Class Batch 2 Destroyers were equipped with them. Type 42s (the class that HMS Sheffield was, were equipped with them by Argentina who operated 2x Type 42s)

We actually had quite a good idea of how they functioned before/just after the Falklands started though:

Harrier 809

Yep, guessing a Seaslug slinger first though.

But just remember, I was joking about the premium aircraft being an F-16 too :P

Are you talking in game ?
Cause IRL, the George Leygues used the MM38, and some later used the MM40

As for the other MM40 users you have :
FREMM/FDA
FDI
La fayette

Gib Taurus:
GPS/IOG/RADALT/MITL/IR and is a Tandem SAP :3
Would have a VERY Funny Pen Value too :D

Is it actually MITL?

Kinda, it has DL + we have a Video of the Bundeswehr were they say if the Taurus goes Off its Programmed Course they can take action and make an controled Crash Manually, it depends how Gaijin feels on that day

Got anything stating it has datalink?

yup

Many things actually (: Taurus uses a Israeli 2 way data link

Is there anything that I can read from? I’m seeing some conflicting things in that the datalink was to be added for customers if they wanted it, but that Taurus Neo (future variant) is what adds datalink to it.

That’s talking about Taurus neo… The next gen Taurus look for KEPD 350.
But in all honesty in game I don’t think it would get it the information is incredibly limited not even the range is properly stated.
I also don’t think we’ll get Taurus ever

The language implies that the Neo “adds” datalink over the original Taurus so to speak.

Range of for a lot of missiles isn’t properly stated tbf.

I can see it coming this year since Bvvd’s blogpost today talks about having JSOW given its stealth attributes.

Yea but that’s comparing something with limited range and stealth to like 6X the range and invisible to basically every radar wise

The range doesn’t really matter given the maps we have and how we release them currently, and what’s the difference between the two in terms of signature/RCS?

Tbh that’s apart I couldn’t tell you off the top of my head but I’ve seen the claim alot for s400s not being able to detect taraus

watch it be on those 2 german 4.0 Missile attack crafts only

I can see them adding SCALP/Storm Shadow and Taurus as GNSS Guided only missiles for balance reasons

although Taurus is technicalls GNSS + IOG + IR Terminal Homing

if we see them tho then I guarantee GROM-1 will return too

How fast do all of them go?

Taurus, Storm Shadow/SCALP are variable regarding their speed but should be able to go up to Mach 0,95 (dive) and Mach 0,8 at usual cruise flight but could also go slower AFAIK.

Taurus also flies very low IIRC, which could be interesting to make it harder to target.
