Bar the Russian SPAA, they’ve all been stuff found in the tree dress up.
Even if some of them don’t belong in their historical themeing, or literally couldn’t exist that way (once you look into what happened when the two nations where put together during the time).
Premiums that are Vehicle found in the tree with “stuff” is the best to me, as if you like the vehicle and want a version to grind you can.
Because the F-15C GE is not on par with those aircraft.
The Su-30SM2 has Irbis-E and R-77-1s. In other words it has the ability to just sit in a notch and fire missiles perpetually. Not to mention it can actually win dogfights.
The Eurofighter AESAs may only have AIM-120B/Cs, but they also still have the ability to provide DL to their AMRAAMs the notch. Not to mention they have more than enough flight performance to more than make up for any advantage the 120D brings over the B/C.
The F-15C GE’s gimmick is missile count and the ability to fire outside the missile’s gimbal limit with the 120D (which the radar can barely make use of). The speed only applies in a straight line and is outright worse than the Eurofighters in pretty much all regimes. It also outright loses a dogfight against any 14.7. At least the EX guarantees some parody with the Eurofighters in the ability to maintain that speed through defensive maneuvers, and more internal CMs that aren’t small caliber.
Not to mention BOL does not make up for much considering they’re erroniously considered small caliber. If they had their proper caliber size, sure that would be a point worth noting. Otherwise they’re only good for spamming chaff.
CBA to get into the full argument, but I do just want to remind you that whilst the F-15C GE gets BOL in addition to its main CMs, the BOL are the EFTs main CMs, even more so after the last major update nerf that reduced its LCMs count by half.
But yeah… Its stupid that we still have artficially nerfed BOL after this many years. Especially when they keep claiming they never make changes based upon balance and only ever on realism
When you want balance, gaijin will say they base things on reality. But when you ask gaijin, using actual data, when they’ll make it realistic, they say it’s a method for balance. What players want needs to be backed up by public data, but gaijin can change the code without any evidence or data. Now, with in-game equipment getting closer and closer to the latest tech, where are players supposed to get so much non-classified info? It’s unreasonable to begin with.
Just like a question I thought about before: why doesn’t the automatic loader on the turret affect the steering when it’s destroyed? What’s the basis for this design? There isn’t one, and it doesn’t need one. In reality, no one would know whether the steering can still turn, because the turret would have already flown a kilometer away.
(or this challenger 3 for example which is more likely as the CR3 EPSOM got passed not to long ago)
Spoiler
1: there probably gonna butcher the thing like they done to every other challenger so missing spall liners and as its on a L/55 a 6S reload the engine power will most likely stay the same the armour wont be near realistic etc
2: i feel like the abrams was gaijins way of giving us a good top tier tank without needing to buff the challengers at all
and quick edit: in the case of the EPSOM if it gets added in the way gaijin probably wants
It will keep the 31 degree turret traverse even though the challenger 2 even is supposed to be faster
It will keep a 6s reload as its on an L/55
Gaijin will most likely butcher its ERA performance making it still somehow worse than relikt
It will also probably keep the 1314HP as it hasnt been officially stated to be 1500hp yet just they can if needed
By the looks of it trophy might be on itt but i cant tell from the photo but iron fist is better either way.
One thing I got to visualize up close this Tankfest is,
the size diff b/w a Leo 2A4 and 1A5.
Surprisingly both have nearly similar proportions/footprints. 2A4 looks very flat-sort of, especially compared to Chally 2, which is hella tall.
The images online always confused me.
