As far I I could tell by about 46 it was sent to Leningrad iirc and just disappeared so probably sat waiting for refurbishment for a good few months while the earlier easier refurbishment got done

yea that’s not immediately the tested it, if Russia get it Germany has too, if Germany gets it Russia has too, both countries should get it the same time

It stayed in the 8.8 configuration for evaluation and study for many years and was sent to a heavy tank unit for some time before being restored into the 85mm configuration. The Soviets even gave it its own variant in their documents. In 1946 the vehicle was sent to Plant No. 27 for restoration

Tested is definitely a stretch there’s no evidence to show they tested it. There’s photos of it with a new paint job (likely to remove any confusion within the Russian armoured forces) and that’s it it disappears from documents no other photos no documentation saying they trialed it just that they noticed a t-34 with a 8.8. the vehicle was likely in Russian reserves waiting for refurbished since it’s capture
