smoke barely works against current weapons and even then currently since most weapons get fired from well outside of 10km most tanks dont even know they are being shot at so the whole smoke doesnt work is such a mute point it isnt even funny

Well, IR missiles, no, because you don’t know it’s coming. Laser weapons you at least get a warning if your tank has LWS.
The point remains, tanks don’t have any way of dealing with mmW weapons on their own.

If it did, previous applications still count. But best to check.

APS would be able to intercept MMV brimstones, so it would be like LWS where only LWS armed tanks can pop smoke to protect from laser guided weapons (even tho there is next to no used laser guided weapons at top tier)

With some situational awareness I can still use smoke to defend myself against some of the IR missiles.
With MMW missiles ground players are just fucked period. Might as well delete top tier GRB with the addition of these, because the loss of playerbase would be significant.

Brimstones attack top-down, APS can only intercept things coming at the tank horizontally.

We need more utility helicopters and more uses for them imo.

with the attack angle I’ve seen top down is a strong word for it lol, technically the KH38MT and ML attack from a high angle still I’ve lost track of how many times the Ironfist APS on the BK has saved me from them

Alot of missiles just reuse basic guidance, Penguin don’t loft they just fly straight towards the laser.
im gonna be honest I doubt it, I still see a lot of people playing top tier ground with 16 FnF armed helis that are pretty much immune to SAMs, 6-18 MMV brimstones to the vast majority of people wouldnt be that different
edit: I want to add I dont think 18 FnF brimstones should ever come in the current state of top tier I just think that people have VASTLY overestimated how strong MMV will be
