Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

Fair enough lmao but mgs don’t really mean anything especially in Afghanistan there was a mix of stuff used they very well could of been dutch stock after but originally what most people post asking for were German

Iirc yes lmao while again some nations just don’t have a APS on any tanks or they just don’t work (looking at you muss and strikeshield)

tomorrow CM post?

Sure, you can take my word for it.

And yet it’s amazing when used correctly lmao it’s a far back sniper what granted a lot of maps don’t allow for and whatever

the only more modern option is CR3 (P) and then whatever it looks like when it enters service.

The Challies used to have a slight niche thanks to the 5s reload, but then the Abrams got 5s on a much much larger ready rack, so comparatively the CR2 is slower with a similarly weak hull hut larger breech weakspot, with a worse sustained fire rate and worse round. the 12.7 Black Night is the same as the 11.7 base model bar the APS and better thermals.

Hey I’ll be glad to take even a terrible APS

Also the TVM is very much long overdue

Any chance/news of any South African vehicles of any kind (maybe a proper air subtree) to be added any time soon? (In the next year)

i mean that goes for most things, i love my challys but the poor mobility (other than the 2E), the lower pen round (other than cr3td), the small ready rack (also other than the 3td), the decent but nothing special armour, and the TES/OES as a whole

more chally you say (dont murder me smin)

Spoiler

The Netherlands absolutely sold large numbers of Leopard 2A4NLs abroad after downsizing their armored forces: Canada, Norway, Austria, Portugal, and others all operated ex-Dutch Leopards at various points. The Canadian 2A6M CAN fleet itself came from a mix of a few leased German vehicles and dozens of bought Dutch hulls upgraded to Canadian standards.

And the “iron crosses” thing is misleading too. Dutch tank crews use German-marked vehicles because the Dutch Army integrated its remaining tank capability into the Binational German-Dutch 414 Tank Battalion after the Netherlands dissolved its independent tank battalions. That’s an organizational NATO arrangement, not proof the tanks were always German-owned.

Well I mean modern dutch tanks they fly iron crosses because they don’t have any more tanks they got rid of them all

Im still mad that dutch vehicles go to france, they got as much to do with eachother as venus and jupiter

Yet again shafted by being close to Belgium lol

Maybe instead of adding an Aussie Abrams and Canadian Leo for the UK mains, it could be added for the Australians and Canadian’s who are the primary people asking for their MBTs in the UK?

Canada has the CF-188 and ADATS in the UK already, and it’s highly likely that the Canadian LAVs added will be to them, so a single Leo 2 is all they need for a full line-up.

and Australia has plenty of its aircraft in the UK and the Boxer CRV (Land 400), so an Abrams and stuff like the Hawkei NASAMS would be great.

Have a APS that destroys your own tank and doesn’t do anything else useful

Germany (before swiss subtree was confirmed) wouldve benefitted way more from dutch ground and air

My personal opinion is this:

Ultimately if a host nation for The Netherlands would ever be considered, only France or Britain would fit on all accounts (Naval, Air and Ground) for the whole WT period and for possible future events (like WWII events).

Ultimately being independent would be better.

In that case I, as a Dutchie, think it should’ve been Britain and Britain alone.

I was actually quite shocked to find out we were tied to the Belgians and Luxembergians going to France, which for those to nations made sense.

We never had anything to do with the French, beyond operating AMX-13 based vehicles. But that is nothing compared to how much US, German, and British stuff we used.
