the F-4D would be more of a bridge the gap between the F-4E and the F-4C, if this were to happen my thoughts on it would be this
F-4C AIM-9Bs, AIM-9Es, AIM-7Cs, AIM-7Ds (basically how it is now)
F-4D AIM-9Es, AIM-9Js, AIM-7Es, AIM-7E-2s, Paveway 1s, pave spike pod, and other bombs and such from the F-4C
F-4E AIM-9J, AIM-9L, AIM-7E-2, AIM-7F/AIM-7M, TIESO/Pave spike targeting pod/camera, and the other standard ordnance options
they could copy paist the airframe model from the kurnass 2000, as the only difference between them would be cockpit (gaijin dosen’t care enough F-4Es still use F-4C cockpits), and weapon selection (Kurnass 2000 dosen’t have sparrows)
and the prodcution number they claim it to be is also wrong as it has the AGM-65Bs and GBU-8s and GBU-1/5s which were after the DMAS upgrade not before, without it, it would just be a better C without any ground ordnance upgrades, and they know this, with the SEAD event loadout options give us what the F-4E they claim it to be would have
F4E cockpit is actually sits ingame for a while.
In game F4F ICE uses the same cockpit that F4E has in real life , Gaijin could just swap the already existing cockpits but like I said they are too lazy to do anything when it comes Phantoms on these days.
the only Late Phantoms we have in game are F4F KWS, F4EJ KAI and Kurnass 2000
all other are early or mid configuration of their type, even F4J and F4S
most are Butcherd Mixed versions with Cherrypicked features and armaments
Hopefully Greece will bring their Peace Icarus F-4
with AiM-9M and AiM-120B/C-5 at 13.3
This is the main excitement for the greece subtree,
I do hope israel gets the Greece F-5A too, just since they are missing a nimble fighter at 10.7 and (as much as its copy paste) would be nice. The F-5B is an option too, and could carry the 30mm GPU-5 gunpod (no internal cannons) so its weight increase could make it a fun option for a 10.3 freedom fighter
Yeah the F-4 cockpits are in some state. Even when they do get fixes they actually don’t work like from back in Storm Warning all the “late modifications” were meant to get their radar target lock boxes for their HUDs but it never happened even when it was said in the final changelog to have been added.
Report was made but like 90% of cockpit reports nothing happens with it. F-4 “Late Modifications” missing radar target lock box
Also should have been added for the J35XS too as it’s also mentioned in the changelog but it still hasn’t.
I hope Greece will implented as Greece and not full C&P.
Not that Greece has them, but i’m tired of Leopard 2a4’s, spitfires, mirages, shermans, any Russian T series, F-5 aircraft (jeez, so much of these… its so encredibly annoying) and M60’s.
Also, when are we finally getting my suggested discounts for the same vehicles… like for real… 5 times grinding the same F-5 with slight differences for 200-300K RP is just frustrating.
Hence i’m playing the game less and less, it just doesnt feel rewarding anymore. Not only the maps stay the same, even the vehicles stay the same.

Twin seat F-5’s would be really cool to get. Would be filler to most but would be a welcomed addition foldered with the single seat variants.
Well Greece is obviously gonna have some copypaste, but there’s some really cool options. Their Mirage F1CG could be pretty unique if it goes at 11.0/11.3 with AIM-9Ps. The F-4E AUP would be cool as I said. And finally, this would be a great occasion of implementing the F-102A to both USA and Greece in the tech tree
For real man, this would help a lot, copypaste wouldn’t be a bad thing if we had this

but the ground tech tree? hell no. it could be a full tech tree without any subtree, including early ranks, if they wanted to.

The F-4D should be placed at 10.7 if comes, and kinda date to 1970-1972. Because the current F-4E dates to 1976.
But it should have flares. Don’t know if it got flares in 1976 like F-4E
