are there any WT pen estimates?
According to the Lanz-Odermatt formula, we should be looking at 340mm!
Accounting for the following data;

Penetrator length: 228 mm

Penetrator density: 17,500 kg/m³ (heavy tungsten alloy)

Penetrator diameter: 18 mm (estimate for a 50mm caliber apfsds round)

Muzzle velocity: 1,600 m/s
However, I wonder if I got anything wrong… this penetration is insane! Maybe 228mm is the length of the entire shell and not the penetrator, and the penetrator is actually much shorter?
In any case; a light vehicle armed with such a weapon would DEFINITELY interest me, even more so than a new Abrams, I may go as far as to state. It could basically be a better HSTV-L; with 3rd gen thermals, higher penetration, higher rate of fire, MUCH more ammo, missiles…

That seems sensible! Outstanding for a FULL autocanon.
I’m an MBT person, but THAT is a light vehicle I would look forward as much as SEPv3, almost!
