Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

last years event seemed alot easier

From nuclear thunder event might be pre gulf war ?

For researchable vehicles tech tree maybe Tu-95MS-6 and B-52H (late 90’s or mid 2000’s configuration) ?

WW1 was 100% easy/more balanced. Even at the start, where there were problems with Germany being too strong, you could at least do stuff.

It’s the version that served during the Gulf War as it still has the gun.

@Smin1080p_WT Since B-52H and Tu-95M are going to be rank VI, does it mean they won’t have an airspawn in ARB?

no they don’t mine was shrededd by multiple patriots i had no way of seeing

WT Mobile 's april fools is walker mechs w/ laser/gauss weapons:

Alternate Reality: Mech Thunder - War Thunder Mobile - Online Military Action Game - Play for Free

The prize vehicles are Object 279, XF5U-1, and something that isn’t in WT:

Väinämöinen , simultaneously the first Finnish ship and the first ship to come w/ a custom skin that has decorators attached, similar to a few event prize tanks that have already appeared in WTM.

Enlisted 's april fools is WW1 Western Front:

Aside from the map design and of-the-period selection of infantry weapons, the gimmicks are airstrike calls from HP.12 and Zeppelin bombers and poison gas artillery.

Sad whining puppy noises

I’m a bit concerned about the standard lineups not having any viable air to air options.

I wonder if they’ll do anything about that. Not necessarily limiting what people can use, just add some vehicles to the lineup so that bringing your own can give you some fun alternatives/sidegrades instead of being genuinely required to be viable.

Totally not because my only air to air option I have in either of those nations (Su-33) isn’t allowed from what I’ve seen here

Damn what is it with Gaijin and only using WW1 for 1 off events. Just throwing away opportunities.

They most likely won’t add the V-bombers outside of events; they’re following the template they mentioned in the community update pretty closely - jet strategic bombers aren’t considered suitable for normal gameplay, so they’re being added as optional, time-limited event content.

I really hope that later in the research branch, we will get the B-52H CEM and the TU-95MC with more advanced weapons.

Yeah hopefully. Along with other strat bombers for other nations.

(I’m still malding over no Vulcan. Like what do you mean Gaijin makes an event about strat bombers dropping nukes and leaves out the one bomber that was able to nuke the US twice in war games.)

Nosewheel steering on the Buff is amazing.

Also Gaijin where’s our PLZT googles for the pilots?

I’m trying to decipher whether or not the airfield is actually bigger or not from the video

The BUFF looks like- does that say 51 bombs??? 1000+ chaff???

Yes

And for flares you have dedicated chaff dispensers so you can take full flares + tons of chaff.

Ngl, I’m starting to prefer this over the “smart” B-52H.

Just rain down bombs in a general area and profit. Guaranteed you won’t miss

Also, I wonder how useful chaff will be…

The more modern version would pretty much just be this + all the guided munitions. Also some avionics upgrades.

I want the more modern one for the MOP (didn’t use it in service but did test it ready for the B-2).

Also testing the B-52 out you can kill 5 bases in a single run with the 51 x 500lb bombs.

But with ARB not being airfield targeted anymore, i think the B-52 wont suit a nice role.
If they bring more strategic targets to ARB, then it might become more usefull indeed.

Oh yeah it won’t be good in ARB, but might be decent in sim.
