arms seem to have issues locking on sometimes
they need a radar signal to lock onto, if there isnt one being sent in the area where the missile is looking it wont get a lock
target the S300s or OSAs, make to sure to pull HARD and spam chaff and move and only do it abt 3-4km so they wont get intercepted doesnt matter if u die, its only like 2ksl to respawn
Problem for me is that a lot of the time my ARMs just outright refuse to lock the OSA in front of me for the BUK 40km away behind them, or just simply wont lock anything at all (even when looking directly at an OSA or BUK which has me locked).
And ofc, if I am even lucky enough to get within that scope lol. A lot of the OSA placements are interlocking and on top of hills or deep in a gully making them a pain to pull up, turn and then look down to fire (while becoming a target for others).

The OSAs also only activate their radar the moment they fire at you, they don’t use it for search (I think they search passively via IR?). If you got hit they deactivate it again instantly.

Probably an effort to keep it at a BR where it isn’t instantly DOA.
They should at least make the Su-27 available to balance things out a bit

This is the pre-1991 version since it has the gun. They removed it after an incident where an F-4G fired a HARM at it because it thought it’s radar was from a SAM site. At the same time the B-52 crew thought the F-4G’s radar was from an Iraqi jet.
The B-52 was hit by the HARM and had it’s tail ripped apart. Still landed though.
We could still get a later version for the TT which could have loads of guided weapons.

Also this isn’t true. R-73 and R-60M massively over-perform the AIM9L. I can’t flare an R-73, just out turn it. AIM9L however-Oh hey a civilian air liner! Not to mention R27R against AIM7’s. Yak-141 players are SCRAPING the people without US jets to put in their line up.
