so I took the plunge and bought the f1, i’m currently grinding the sl for expert crew and just had this hilarious game where literally not one guy on the other team got a kill, like… that’s gotta be a record or something
The reason I’m posting this here is because I believe Gaijin should work on a new and revamped tutorial system to help clueless players, being bad at the game is normal, all of us were at some point, but the game being obscure and difficult to learn because there simply isn’t any tutorials that explains how anything works? That’s bad design. It’s also frustrating and not fun for blueberries for players like me to farm them just because I started playing ages ago and have this knowledge built up over the years (granted i’m still quite new to the shiny toys added while i wasnt playing but still).
So i would love to see Gaijin release a small update tailored to new players, we should all push for this, the more players join the game the better, and the better those players are, the better the matches will get, more fun dogfights, challenging players to fight, no longer having to play 10 matches in a row to have one good fight. i’m convinced this would be a net positive for ARB and the game as a whole!
I think the biggest issue with copy paste is typically when it’s added, it’s usually added in place of something unique. The 2026 decal literally has 2 vehicles on it, which should have come with vehicles like the M44 (Hummel), and M109 (Palmaria). I don’t think people don’t want copy paste, they just don’t want ONLY copy paste.
Well then again people can’t really determine what C&P is most people would just look at the name and go “Yeah C&P slop” see the Swedish Mossie for that.
A lack of M109G wouldn’t accelerate the addition of Palmaria, we would just have a gap instead.
And Palmaria should be a bit higher in br imo, like ≈7.0.
We are also still lacking Italian M109L modification btw.
2S1 though is kinda strange considering there could be Romanian Model 89 instead, which would be a bit different based on MLI-84 chassis.
I’m not understanding what you’re trying to say here. I don’t think the M109 should have been replaced by the Palmaria, that’s actually the opposite of what I was saying. Alongside M109, they should have added the Palmaria as well, and it seems like based on what you said, they could have at least added a domestically upgraded M109. Instead they chose not to, should have been a good indication of what they would do with the Thai sub tree.
Well, I was confused by “in place”. Probably it isn’t always possible to add both at the same time. M109 model can be ready for implementation and Palmaria not. There can be questions to priorities of course, but I guess for Gaijin the main priority would be the one which they can add to multiple trees at once or just one with more potential outcome (players/money).
Although, yeah, in case of M109L it’s not clear why we still don’t have it, since it shouldn’t require a lot of work to model from the base M109.
you know
i’ve been banging my head in Air RB lately and kinda enjoy it. way better than grinding your wiener in Ground RB
you know how screwed the Ground RB for me when i enjoy playing Air…
This point for me, will always fall on deaf ears. War Thunder has been around for over 10 years. They claim to have content planned out for a year in advance (which is EXTREMELY questionable considering the state some vehicles come in). By now, especially considering the amount of premium vehicles they sell, they should 100% have a large enough development team to produce vehicles in large quantities (especially considering the fact that they also source vehicle models sometimes from other people). Although, I do not know what it takes to model a vehicle so it could be my own ignorance which makes me not understand the point of “some models won’t be ready”. However, it’s been 3 years since the M109 entered the game, I find it hard to believe it took them 4 years (if they plan things out in advance) to model the Palmaria.
