Air Alert is the pc equivalent of the console target lock mechanic. Its not really supposed to be used that way but man is it handy for ruining a CAS players day.

Technically there was a proposal with the same name, the one in game just has a few issues like:
- Missing air to air armament (2x AIM-7 on additional weapon stations) to the point where it couldn’t match the minimum requirement of the competition it was entered
- Missing air to ground armament despite it not being missing on the other Block 10 derivatives in game
- Has the wrong engine, which didn’t exist until a decade after the proposal
- Various smaller visual issues at the tail, nose and landing rear. The most significant issue here being that it lacks the two-piece rear landing rear doors with missile pylons on them.
The actual F-16J (AJ/BJ) was never built, only based on a previous unrelated prototype that isn’t enough for it to even count as unfinished prototype, so it’s weird to have it in game at all. But it’s even weirder to me that the one we have is so wrong it might as well be an entirely made up plane.

I mean trust was valid untill last update.
The SU-30MKK does not have wingtip pylons compatible with the PL-8B since it has the same style wingtip as the J-11D/15T/16 yet it got the wingtip pylons due to gaijin just physically changing the model if you equip them

Im talking about a list of airframes that do not have it(extreme gimbals). Wether they are toptier or the best jets, it really doesnt matter. At the end, having esa is quality of life gameplay. Forgot to mention F-2 and Su30SM/SU30MKM as well. Cuz they have esa radars as well.
I still hate it that we didnt got that, would have been a very unique feature to the plane.
Also i still dont belive it didnt got them because of “Engine Limitations” or “that it couldnt work because the Missile would be lost when the gear breaks” etc (i think these where the Reason said that time).
I just have to look at the Tornados or F-111 that have pretty much the same “Weapons on moving Hardpoints that can be lost” mechanic have (there should be no diffrence between a Hardpoint on a moving wing or a geardoor).
They just didnt want to give Japan the “Best” F-16 at the time and anger all of US mains.
Its been a while where i think it would be ok to bring the AJ closer to the Brochure and i wouldnt mind if the price for that would be a Higher BR or worse Engine.

Gaijin doesn’t care about early jets bro, they put 90% of their energy into top tier because that’s what runs the hype and thus the business. When I say premiums, I don’t mean rank 5 specifically, I mean the entire game. Premiums is what matters most to them.
Also having more than enough premiums at a given rank never stopped them

Until we get an actual plane scouting mechanic I will continue to (ab)use that mechanic as much as I possibly can
It’s a shame that Gaijin apparently cannot be bothered to improve anti air gameplay and mechanics (yet they feel the need to keep adding better CAS lmao)

Hi @Smin1080p_WT Are there any plans to add powerful small fighters in the next update, such as the F-16C PoBiT/16V or MiG-35? While they may not match the capabilities of the current 14.3 or the revised 14.7 version, these are quite unique and would make for an interesting addition.
