You can’t deny the F-16 is cool but I do get the frustration
I don’t think I saw the 30km missile anywhere.
Where did you get that?
Would mean France gets more F-16s than USA, and that would be super funny
I mean I got frustrated when Germany got the F-18
At least we’d get a high-tier Dutch jet, but another blow to people interested in playing Dutch jets, as the majority of them are already premium.
Its not SMD, its SM or S1M. (i know, might be confusing)
It seems that S1M indeed got the 30km missile, but i cant say aything about SM.
i meant for the SM, not S1M
Yeah they could’ve at least given a dutch skin to Belgian F-16s, as a bare minimum
yeah you’re right.
There’s actually no concrete statements that the sm can use that 30km missile, only seen concrete info the standard 20km one and the 40km kinetic ones
Interesting that for a 50g missile CAMM never pulled more than 20g. I suspect something isn’t right there.
Hopefully the developers will improve the effectiveness of ASRAAM compared to CAMM in that video.
I believe it effectively pulls around 40-50G as of now. Its also a whole lot slower hence the much tighter turn
I mean most missiles don’t pull their full g load, like for example r-73 I almost never see it pulling more than 25 gs (though it can always pull lots of aoa)
Little do people know this isnt even the first time this has happened. Heck its not even the 5th. It is however interesting that ED only just now decided to do something.
Which is kinda insane tbh, I saw that video of the Ukranian M2K shooting down a drone and the magic seemed to pull like hell.
Makes me wonder how an IRIS-T or a Michael pulls in the same scenario with TVC :O
Does this imply we could get a separate IIAF F-14A? :)))
Its simply clarifying that we have the appropriate flag and name for this version of the aircraft.
It’s nuts to see how well it pulls IRL. In that video it started turning 1 second after being fired but by 2 and a half seconds it’s already made the turn and going straight to the target. The target was close and looked to be at about the 9’o clock position so to be able to track and make that turn in just over 2 seconds is phenomenal.
Yeah not only pull after the delay of launch but also made a correction by turning to the right, all that in such a narrow space…
